Would be happy with SWP on loan. Not sure I necessarily want him permanently straight away. Not sure where he'd start, but he has qualities that our squad tends to lack i.e. PACE.

God I hope Landon's plane isn't delayed.

I totally laughed out loud - and then it took me down the comical path of thinking about Everton frantically looking for a physician that could perform his medical on the plane on the flight over. Then I was thinking of him sprinting up and down plane aisles for the speed test. All of this done against a clock rapidly approaching 11pm. And then I dissolved into more laughter.

Very witty, Reidy - very witty. :)

THIS. i dont care if we get dont get anyone in this window. i love the squad we have (`cept nev)

Even in the case of injuries? The lack of depth (in particular on the wings) scares me.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the striker problem, how could I forget that too.

According to the Guardian, Brum's deal for Martins not yet finalised. Maybe we could nip in for him? He's still only 26, knows Anichebe's game from the international team, has Prem experience and a better than 1 in 3 strike rate for Inter, Newcastle, Wolfsburg and Nigeria. He'd give us something different and Moysie is used to getting the best out of much-travelled players.

Anyone else scared that if we DO sign someone, in desperation, and we still do crap, the extra money - that we didnt really have - will be the ruining of us? Ie, fire sale in the summer?

Fellaini for £30m, Rodwell for £20m+ = we get about £20m to spend INCLUDING wages, so realistically, about £10m for 2 average or 4 below average players

...and maybe some teenagers from each of worst "youth footballing hotbed" leagues in the world

Would be a grat addition but I think the only thing stalling the deal is a work permit.Like Yak his age is questionable but on loan for 6 months we would have nothing to loose.
