The player of the season on less than the crab Arteta?

The offer on the table was clearly not enough to convince him to stay.

The chairman failed to convince the star player to re-sign.

I am pretty sure he is getting roughly the same as what we offered him at Spurs!

Pienaar left because Spurs have better ambition and are playing european football.

Wish people would stop claiming money was the sole motivator in his decision.

Not that reliable mate believe me, he gets a lot wrong, like Redknapp's bids for Rossi, Aguero and Llorente!. Last week Redknapp denied bidding for Rossi and admitted he was in Spain watching Forlan, and today ive seen him deny making bids for both Aguero and Llorente.

Everton FC denied ANY INTEREST IN David Bentley previously ..

YET ; Mufuka WAS IN A CAR EN ROUTE HERE , 2 DEADLINE DAY'S RUNNING ...!!!

I seen it mate, did you believe a word coming out of Redknapps mouth?

Graham hunter said Bilboa confirmed they bid for Llorente as well, so I think its obvious Harry is telling a few porkies.

Pienaar is on 75k at Spurs. We offered him 50-55k, just less than Arteta. So 25k difference in salary, so not really the same. Not saying that money is the sole factor, but don't pretend it wasn't a factor at all. It certainly helped.

Now you're speculating. Neither you nor I know what the offer on the table was, or where it sat in comparison to whatever other players earn.

If; as seems to be the case, he wanted Champions League football. Then the Chairman has to be pretty clever to magic that out of the air before the end of June.

I'd have loved Pienaar to stay, I've enthused about him on here myself. But he wanted away, yet still worked his socks off for the cause this season. £3m for the rest of his contract is a pretty good deal in my opinion.
