At the end of the day, I understand, I mean if we were waiting till the Summer, to spend some cash, but the reality is, every player in our squad is walking around with a For Sale sign on their head. We have some cracking value, Rodwell and Fellaini for 2, we will be lucky to keep both of them this Summer, very lucky indeed.

That's fine - we'll just sell both, hopefully give Moyes a fraction of the proceeds, and get him to work wonders again. Kenwright in!

My favourite rumour that I saw earlier was that some lad had seen some Red Bull Salzburg defender in HMV in Liverpool and he was sure that it meant he was signing.

I've love for the last sentance to be correct, but I just can't see it. Who's going to force him out? Why would he leave?

Because he cannot afford to maintain the value of his "asset" any more.

It makes logical sense. Plus it would also make sense by hearing nothing for over two months.

He's preparing for a sale.

No big overheads or anything being added to the books suggests it.

I see where you're coming from, but I think there's something rotten financially which is causing the transfer inactivity rather than preparing for a club sale.

Remember, investment in the playing squad and a strong finish to the season would result in a more attractive purchase.

Personally, I think barring protests Kenwright will be here for the long run. Thankfully, I honestly believe protests will commence in the summer. I've been against them as it's "Kopite" but it'll come to the point where it'll have to happen.

That assumes that there was an availability of cheap credit.

Which the drop - across the board of football clubs credit ratings - shows there is no longer.

So that means to do that the debt v potential increase in asset value

- would be poor or simply not worth the risk.

It all suggests that Kenwright can no longer afford EFC. So is preparing for a sale.

Rotten financially ? No more so that the banks and institutions are no longer loaning at rates that a viable for football clubs to take on new debts and maintain on their books.

I'm thinking of going out and sticking £50 on Kenwright to have sold EFC by May at the bookies.
