America is ace. Really want to go back and see more of it. Such a diverse country. People moan about the lack of Americans who hold passports, but you could spend your life travelling there and not see half of it. I can see why they don't bother, having all that to see in their own country. Need to see if they'll let me back in as I overstayed my visa by months last time, but it was 9 years ago.

Cena - Taco Bell? Really? I didn't know Americans even counted that as food. Terrible place. There's so much quality cheap Mexican food I don't know why anyone goes there. Cherry Dr. Pepper is absolutely the one though, and I was really taken aback by people's hospitality as well. Making me nostalgic, this.

Haha - I think what it was mate is, we had been on the road travelling through Arkansas for hours, hungover and in unreal heat. The 3 of us travelling were starving and the next place we found was a Taco Bell and at that time the food just went down a treat. Wendy's was a massive disappointment!

Great 2 see so many agree with me on the cherry Dr.Pepper.

Welcome to the show Ladies & Gentleman.

Ok, I have a ridiculous sleep pattern at the minute and i'm always awake half the night.

During this period, GOT becomes very quiet and not a lot of posting goes on. Now we've had my BBFL, Jock and his 'Mid-Morning' thread, we've had Ijjy's bathtime and a lot of AMA's, so for the quiet period's in the middle of the night when no-one is online except the merry few of us, this is the thread for us.

Yeah, it's stealing a bit of the Million Thread's thunder, but that's a jarg thread. So come and join me, for celebrity guests, Chico's multi's, Deg's 'Thought Of The Night', Roz's Randomness & all things Cena.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the show...

I much prefer Graeme Norton tbh....

Firstly - whats with Jaywalking? Over here you can walk pretty much anywhere, except motorways (highways). I couldn't believe I got a telling off by Police for walking home, luckily once they heard the accent all was forgiven.
You got unlucky there, but it's against the law to protect people. Everyone does it, but if you do it on a busy street and walk out into traffic, you're liable to get yourself killed. Not evenly enforced everywhere.

Commercials - you have loads, an annoying amount during programming, it's infuriating. Wait till you see our TV I reckon you'l be amazed at the lack of them compared to the US.
Agreed, Which is why I watch everything on DVR after the fact. I can buzz through the commericials at warp speed.

Your radio stations, they have the same 4 songs on loop all day
Could not agree more. American commercial radio is awful. I don't ever turn on the radio tbh.

Mountain Dew - vile.
Well I drink Diet Mt. Dew by the bucket, so not sure if we disagree on that one...the regular stuff is too sweet, buy my gawd it's rocket fuel.

Like this Cena.

Can you get actual John Cena as a guest? Then I can send him lots of abuse for being a total bell.

In other news, Smithy's bath time will return when Monday Night Football returns! (I have had a bath since the last one but you know what I mean)

The Food, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, Chili's Grill & Bar, and particularly where I was in the Mid/South Western states, The Mexican restaurants. Amazing, honestly superb.

Yeah we have it good here. Agreed on the Mexican food. My understanding is that's one thing you guys just don't have. You can go anywhere in the country and get quality Mexican food. I love it.

The hospitality, what a friendly nation. You could not go more out of your way for me if you tried when I was there.

You know, only visitors can really judge this. I think Americans are in general pretty nice, polite people and we really are interested in the rest of the world. Most may not know as much, but as you said later, it's a huge freaking country. And it's not cheap to go to Europe, and we don't have 4-6 weeks of vacation here like yous lot.

The women, sexy accent, loved mine, sexually hungry, enough said
Enough said :)

The facilities you have for sport - among the best in the world
Even footie? That would surprise me a bit.

Cliche, but you all have boss teeth.
Not everyone, but dental care seems to be a higher priority here than there. FFS I can't figure out why.

Cherry Dr.Pepper
I've actually never had the stuff!

The fact you can legally drive any car as long as you have a license.
I'm not sure I understand this one?

July 4th holiday
next week! I don't have any plans yet, but I'm sure I think of something.

The cost of petrol (Gas), phenomenal compared to over here.
And it's even cheaper where I live than in other parts of the US.

Your bars and clubs, so different to here, but just, an experience to be in.
How so?

Oh I know mate, It was just I couldn't get over it, like right now I could walk out my house to the shop and back, Its just normal, where as I did that in the US and I got told off - just me being unaware thats all.

Well I drink Diet Mt. Dew by the bucket, so not sure if we disagree on that one...the regular stuff is too sweet, buy my gawd it's rocket fuel.

Hmmm, the diet stuff may be better, but the regular, dear oh dear.
