The drums arent mixed at all. He literally banged the two things together. Which means I cant move the vocals up any further.

As this thread has attracted a few musos, I was hoping maybe I could get some headphone advice. I'm looking at wired, over the ear, closed headphones. I have birthday money and I'm looking at spending under $100 and have 3 I'm stalking on Amazon and they are:
Audio-technica Ath-m40x
Sony mdr7506
Sennheiser hd280pro

Thoughts and opinions are welcome.

I'm using Divine Pro2000's as my recording and monitoring headphones. I think they're excellent and you can mail order them from Thomann or Bax for €25.
 
I just sent the masters of the 3 songs we'll put on our digital single later in the month to @aazak and got to thinking that if anybody else would like them I'll be happy to send on too.

All I ask is that you don't give them to anybody else because we will be selling it in a few weeks.

I'm a creature of habit and always go with Audio-Technica, but that is based on no actual expertise or knowledge of its counterparts. Sennheiser have an excellent reputation and is what most of my friends go with, so you can't go far wrong with them I reckon

Pulled the trigger on a refurbed pair of ATH M40x for $66. No lose situation as they come with a 90 day free return option with Amazon. Description says should look as new.

Funnily enough, a pair of ATH-M50x just arrived in the post for me there. Best of luck with them, hopefully they work out for you
