The new kitchen

I'm with you here. Had our kitchen done recently - a few hiccups but nothing major. Guy who deconstructed the aga (was in the house when we moved in) thought it would be a good idea to leave the gas supply pipe sticking through the plinth after he'd capped it, cos obviously we wanted 3 inches of copper pipe sticking out at ankle height. Needed it sorted before the new units went in so had to try someone else.

Same thing happened to me mate. Knocked a wall through, found a capped gas pipe about 5 inches high.

My face.

I'm wondering if any pros out there could do a risk assessment on my use of shims here while some glue dries.

As long as nobody opens it before its ready - not a problem.

I don't see them as knives, they're tools, used in this case as thin strong metal wedges.
Edit; with handles for ease of use and removal.

Cheese* dorito.

*nothing like this actually tastes of cheese anymore. I hate the modern world.
They're sharp as well, not quite kettle chips razors but that end of the spectrum. What I'm finding is that very slowly the packet crisps come in is starting to out weigh the contents. Yes the modern world is hateful, and then some. If I was a real leader of people I'd be championing a blacklisting of cadbury's for a week/month via twitter and hurting the shrinkflation fatcat capitalists in their wallet for a change, for instance, but as I'm a fat and twisted and old and stubborn fool I'll just sit off and take the pish.
Anyway, pre lunch snacking, wait, shes in the boat, your cooking for you... crisps already mate? you've only been left to your own devices a couple of days... you're not going to pieces already are you?
