Boat is fine.... the last 3 miles of the journey took 18 days thanks to the canal freezing then the river Avon flooding, then the canal freezing again. Just a never ending list of maintenance jobs now. The boat is functional but I'm not happy with the quality of the electrical system. This like an old friend just knocked on my door!
Thanks for bump @tommye
BTW, hows the boat coming along Chris?
Kitchen looks fab, lots of Wifey Anchor points, good call
Ive been looking at some Dutch Barge conversions, defo do a thread on your boat mate, would awesome to see! Still at the looking stage but with retirement looming in a few years thought it would be good to perhaps source and then upgrade at my pace rather than retire then buy!Boat is fine.... the last 3 miles of the journey took 18 days thanks to the canal freezing then the river Avon flooding, then the canal freezing again. It'd be boring ... the boat doesn't need much doing to it. I should've fine a thread 7 years before I joined the GOT when I gutted and fitted out a 8m river cruiser to live on, or 2 years before I joined when I gutted and fitted out a 39' iron riveted Dutch barge built in 1904 to live on. Now THAT would've been a thread. 8x4 ply boards being cut on a sloping table saw by the river bank on a windy day, belt sanders driving themselves into the river ....Ive been looking at some Dutch Barge conversions, defo do a thread on your boat mate, would awesome to see! Sounds like that journey was arduous!
I was waiting for your microscopic eye ... I even checked the photos before posting@chrismpw has that ikea bag been lined with tinfoil for some nefarious reason?

It's a wonder I still have all 10 fingers.
Tabs @tommye
Well being as it's been at that stage for 3 months where its persistently 99.5% finished here are some pics of it very nearly complete but not kept tidy by the missus.View attachment 209422
Lovely that. Quality.
More ceiling hooks than @john jako's shed
It's chaos in there. The missus insisted on a fancy one with two doors and a light you have to WAIT to come on as if it's some kind of ceremony. I hate it and I never know which door to open, so just fling things in and out with my eyes shut.
Is that all new?
Everything painted blue was bought in, fitted and painted. Everything wood coloured was made from scratch by me.Is that all new?
Don't think so ... but since the two rooms were previously a lounge and ... well er .. another lounge, separated by a wall there's no real point. Put it this way - they weren't kitchens. Are there 'before' pictures in here somewhere?
