Moyes for now, on a short term deal. Perhaps Thomas Frank if we could get him away from Brentford ? I’d be happy with Potter too but more risky than Frank in terms of styles that suit Everton.

I know people want this young progressive manager but at this point the club must be seen as career suicide for any kind of managerial talent. The sport is a merry go round and I’m sure they know they can wait for someone with a better infrastructure to come calling
It’s a bit of a myth that failing here represents career suicide . All of our previous failures have gone on to good jobs .
Perhaps failing at Everton is now regarded as inevitable.
Either way £5m and reasonable high public profile is a big incentive.

I'm gonna bite.

I think in an ideal world we would be finding the guy who Moyes was 22 years ago.

My ideal candidate would be someone of that ilk.
But they cost money. And lots of it. As well as need structure, processes, foundations so they can survive sticky periods.

We have none.

Therefore we are faced with the reality of either sticking with Dyche or getting someone in who will work in the current conditions bestowed upon them.

Let's have it abundantly clear. Moyes is not the long term answer. But he is a better option and the current candidate and possibly our only real attainable one considering the situation the club is in.
Mark Robbins?
