arteta would get us playing better football at least and i'd be prepared to actually give arteta time to bring in his own players to fit his style of play as long as the football was good to watch

might have to endure a few mid table finishes to begin with but then can build on from that under arteta
We can only dream of "mid table finishes". 😂

However much as having Arteta as our coach would make me very happy it just isn't going to happen.

FWIW I think that the Arse will give him more time even if he has another fallow season.

We fell off a cliff in the second half of the season with Carlo, winning 3 of our last 12 and 1 of our last 6 home games, he finish 12th and 10th in his 1 1/2 seasons
Brilliant manager with great players, not what we need now and not what I would want, like others have said a young hungry up and coming manager with big ideas is what we need.
Not the Moyes's or Carlo's lets hopefully look forward with a clear plan and not look back for Managers who did ok because we are so bad now ok seems like something to aim for.

Potter was recently on Sky Sports, saying that he’s loving his sabbatical away from football management, but at the same time he was sort of lifting his skirt up to any potential suitors. 🤔

People definitely get starstruck about the name Ancelotti and forget that for much of his time here we played awful football and got crap results.

Oh David Moyes.... Just what we need.

Let's just forget he knew he was leaving 6 months beforehand, he tried to buy Fellaini and Baines on the cheap....

He took us to one cup final, did poor at Utd, Sociedad and West Ham sacked him even when he won them a European trophy.....

Hew the best manager we've had in modern times.... He is no longer modern.

Personally speaking I'd go for a younger manager, some experience that can relate to the younger type players. Damian Duff would be intriguing, a gamble, but he would be some laugh. He won the league in Ireland with a real low budget compared to other teams. He comes across like a young Mourinho, zero filter. Managers like Ange Postegoglu unheard of really until Celtic took him, he's totally transformed playing style and now Spurs are probably one of the most exciting teams to watch. These managers are out there it's just picking the right one. Forget about experience or big name ex players like Rooney, Lampard. Carlo Ancellotti and the likes will never stick around and don't fancy long term projects.

I don't want Moyes back, but I don't have any issue with how he left. He was given at least three contracts at Everton and he completed every single one of them over an 11 year period. That's serious commitment and not the norm in the world of football management. Compare that to Carlo, who didn't fulfill a single contract, and referred to Everton as being a Fiat Punto shortly after arriving in Madrid.

I'm not that bothered by Carlo's comments tbh, but I find them far more disrespectful than anything Moyes has said or done.

Don't think so mate. I think he rented property on the long road that leads up to West Lancs GC (can't remember what the road is called but has some quality properties. Andy Carroll messed up some other Liverpool gaff on the same road apparently) . I'm sure his next door neighbour was Gini Winjaldum and the houses are side on, face to face.

Nearly all of the foreign players at both RS and us, live in rented houses mate, which are sourced for them by the club.

You get the odd few who buy their own place, Torres owned one by us, which is still his, but it gets rented out to other players now.

I know a lady who works for an estate agents, who`s sole job is to house and look after footy players and their families. She also hooks them up with people like swimming pool maintenance, gardening, house keepers, drivers etc.

The rent is deducted at source from their wages.

It`s fabulously paid, but comes with masses of pressure, as some of them are very demanding ( as you can imagine ) and she`s the contact point if anything`s needs doing, no matter what the time of day.

If you think about, it makes no sense for them to buy their own place, as the chances are they`re only going to be here for a few years.

Yes agree with that, the most entertaining thing about the Ancelotti era was the post match dressing room videos Iwobi used to post. Hogate on the chair with his shorts down singing karaoke was a sight for sore eyes. Ancelotti and Co must have disappeared home at the final whistle and left them to it 😆 🤣
