Have you ever watched a Juventus game under Allegri?

I get that, but Allegri’s main strength is mastering a 1-0 win. Especialy when he doesnt have players like Vidal, Pogba and Pirlo at his disposal. He’s as far from being an exciting manager as I can imagine

Allegri is top notch.

Yes he's not going to be Ossie Ardiles-esque Postecoglu. He'd be a 'proper' manager who would setup to suit the players and gradually adapt into the formation and strategy he feels would build us to a trophy winning side.

Tactically as close to Italian perfection you can get thesedays. We'd go into games expecting not to concede, ever and that we'd have an attacking strategy with balance.

That type of setup is the antithesis of the typical premier league style thesedays...you need to have something different and effective to counter the big teams strategies and superior teams.

He's my pick for the senior foreign type...McKenna for the onshore option.

Allegri.....not for me Zat.

He had and I stress had a stellar managerial record but he's yesterday's man.

He's the Italian version of Simeone only his football is even duller. He's Jose without the antics.

The fans need a lift, a pick me up , so they can look forward to better more exciting football.

If Allegri comes here it's only for the money. We need a hungry manager coming for the challenge. Oh and whilst I understand that he's been learning English he will make Unai Emery look like Stephen Fry in the linguistic department.

We should make a cheeky approach to Man City for the services of Pep. He currently seems to be under constant flak.

I'm sure that he'd jump at the opportunity to show his mettle at our poor and mediocre squad.

To prove his detractors wrong: that he CAN weave some magic and being the alchemist that he is, prove his ability to create success from our mess.

"The fans need a lift"
- What does this entail other than winning football matches?

"More exciting football"
- Above winning?

"Allegri would only be for the money"
- After his 1st Juventus stint it was pushed out that he wanted to challenge himself in the premier league.

"We need a hungry manager"
- One of the best managers in Europe isnt 'hungry' ?

"He's yesterdays man"
- The bloke is 57 years old

Yesterdays man?

Pretty sure they said the same about Ranieri, prior to him winning a title at Leicester.

People are very quick to write managers off.

Honestly be surprised if its anyone else but Moyes, if a change is made after the take over.
If they decide on a safety first approach then I'd agree. Their appointment of Ranieri may steer them to the same approach here. Be interesting to see what happens once sacking season gets underway. Can see Moyes waiting on an offer from us. There should be a lot of moving parts once Christmas is over.
