Moyes would need some new metaphors to work under Freidkin anyway, knife to a gun fight wouldn’t cut it.
> Flat cap to a 10 Gallon Hat contest
> Catapult to the OK Corral
That sort of thing, otherwise he’d be perfect, if there’s one thing a Texan likes, it’s someone with sullen, gloomy outlook who champions being almost good enough.

Since he works for Toyota, it could be, "We're bringing a knife to a samurai sword fight."

Suppose that will be another interview where he’s only talking about Everton because he’s being asked about us, a man of his integrity would never be dropping his draws to try to get his old gig back.
I never thought it was anything other than being asked about his eleven years at Everton. It just reminded me of the good times when was our manager. Interestingly there was an article suggesting Friedkin is considering a Moyes/Southgate combo. If it meant Southgate as manager I'd prefer that scenario not to play out. Moyes/Potter though would be perfect.

Whats the moyes blueprint? Attacking fullbacks and multiple players that score goals in the team, whipping in crosses and big striker heading them in, from a solid defensive base?

Look at the team moyes left us as well as having a £26m positive net spend over the previous 4 seasons and not being able to spend for 2 seasons straight during that time period. We also finished 6th that season with +15 GD.

Would love to see what any of your hipster flavour of the month managers blueprint would be in those situations.
I’ve come to realise the derogatory term ‘hipster’ when used to refer to manager choices translates as someone who has some knowledge of football and managers outside of ingerlund .
I wasn’t a great fan of Martinez , but his first season produced better football than anything Moyes produced.
Ultimately though it’s a matter of taste , some people enjoyed the style of football Moyes employed others simply didn’t.
It was the same for West Ham fans a club whose fans also prefer a more attacking style of football.
Football played with a certain swagger.
Just preference really.
And I’d prefer to never see him here again.

Sarri is alright. Very experienced coach who's built some nice teams to watch, but his age does concern me a bit.

Rather we went with a fresher face, if I'm being honest. Someone who backs themselves to do a job, will get heavily involved in the coaching & tactical side of things, and develop at a big club like ours. Like a Hurzeler at Brighton.

I've already stated that Ancelotti Jr would be my pick personally.

Sarri fits us as a club style IMO.

I think all 3 managers that most people would like would be bad fits for yes. Sarri plays very particular way, of which we have maybe 4 players for. Tuchel, well there's a reason he's not really at any club for more than 2 years. And don't even need to comment on Moyes. Thanks for the memories but time to move forward.

We need to appoint somebody. A team can't train itself!
