Even when he came back he was great at getting Watford back into the PL.

Err, yeah mate. As we've already established, he's one of the managers who has achieved back to back promotions to the PL. The others being Lambert, Adkins, Royle and now Mckenna.

I was saying back to back promotions to the PL are not necessarily a sign that a manager can cut it in this league. How dd it go for him after that 'achievement'?

His Watford team was woefully under resourced. When it was a level playing field (pre PL) he took them to second, qualified for Europe and made a cup final.

The problem nowadays is being a good coach and manager is not enough to overcome the structural deficiencies.

How long before the miracle achievement was that then? Was it about....

Yeah, he was, about 15 years before the achievement I referenced. That's why I specifically said "Graham Taylor circa 2000."

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Or maybe Moyes was just a very good manager? Ferguson, McLean and Walter Smith all rated him very highly.

His performance at West Ham shows he is the best candidate for a club in our situation.

Moyes was a very good manager for us. I was a massive fan of his here, and he’s done a very good job at Wedt Ham as well. I can’t be bothered with the fan divide if he came back, there’s a section of fans who just won’t have anyone they’ve actually seen manage in English football now so if Moyes came back it would just be a split fan base once again no matter how well he did.

Translation , dyche has a contract until the summer and Everton are skint so can’t pay him out . If they survive then they are probably the only ones stupid enough to pay me the 8m a year I want for losing in the WC semi final .. and the euros

And leading the team out at their new stadium and then taking them to the championship , and getting my 5 year 40m contract paid out in full…. Should mean that I amd the next 5 generations of my family, never need to work again.

Up the toffees
