The NFL Thread, 2019

Congrats to Green Bay. Nothing to hang my head about. That we even had a chance after the start we had fills me with pride. Russell Wilson will always give us a chance, and frankly that's been an awesome feeling for many years.

To transition on the fly with basically only Russ, Bobby, and KJ left from just a few years ago is pretty amazing. The NFL is designed to not allow it to happen.

They've done a good job of staying relevant but I think they're chances of winning another are next to 0 as long as Carroll resists moving into the modern NFL. Is there any type of outcry for him to go around Seattle or are the fans generally ok with where the team is?

There has always been an outcry for him to go since we lost on an amazing defensive play and an equally terribly executed offensive play to end the Super Bowl. Everyone is so quick to call it a bad call, but damn that DB made a helluva play, and the guy in charge of impeding him didn't do his job.

We hate him for his conservative approach. We hate him for lacking courage on 4th down. I can't be bothered to dig up the stats, but we practically never score on our first drive. It's run, run, pass everytime.

But we've remained relevant for a decade and did a complete roster change over the last two seasons. So I reckon he's gonna be safe until he hangs 'em up.

I don't want him out to be more specific. That they've been able to quickly sort a huge transition of players keeps me on-board.

It's weird that a team that makes it to the divisional round should fire their coach, but I think both the Texans and Seahawks are being let down by the men in charge. More talented than the level they played at.
