There is no virtue is connecting yourself so strongly to Everton that your pride is dependent on them. In fact by this point it makes you in desperate need of life coaching.

Fair point, was that in the old Division 3? Early 90's? I remember visiting one of my mates who was working near Huddersfield so we went to watch Huddersfield Town play Albion. Albion lost 3-0. One of your defenders planted an absolute beauty of a header into his own net! To say that the away support was angry would be an understatement. You all need a good slap!! Until you've tasted travelling to Hartlepool on a Tuesday night in the depths of winter you have nothing to feel sorry about
Lol yes, fortunately I didn't go to many games then as I was having babies in the 90's, I was there the day we played away at Shrewsbury though and we carried a cofin round the ground at half time with Bobby Goulds name painted on the lid. ?Fair point, was that in the old Division 3? I waste not one second worrying about Everton...I have become insouciant. But I'd prefer them doing/being better...for the sake of so many Blues to whom football occupies such import in their lives.
But me?...I'm pretty much 'meh'.
Here is probably worse than twitter after such a defeat. At least you got the mods to calm the worst of the fires though.
I'm getting there... normally I would be seething after watching Gordon miss that twenty six opportunities but five minutes after the final whistle I was fine...I waste not one second worrying about Everton...I have become insouciant. But I'd prefer them doing/being better...for the sake of so many Blues to whom football occupies such import in their lives.

Good word that...I had to Google the definition but a great word.I waste not one second worrying about Everton...I have become insouciant. But I'd prefer them doing/being better...for the sake of so many Blues to whom football occupies such import in their lives.

No alcohol today.Good morning fellow reasoned Evertonians.
SAY IT.
Is right. Nailed it.I’m 60 years old and have survived a dose of cancer. Football is a game and only a game.
I'm inA place for Evertonians who have navigated life to a place where they place neither their self worth or entire happiness into a football club, and wish to discus Everton without lashings of hysteria not entitlement.
Not by meI'll get slated for saying this but IRDGAF, I have tonight accepted we’re gonna go down this season, anything else will be a bonus
