Still got some scar middle of my forehead. Wasn't meant for me, lad behind was playing up but teacher never threw it far enough, said it was my own fault I got hit as I should have ducked

I remember a teacher launching one of them at someone at the back of the class then turning round looking pleased with himself only for it go flying past his left ear crashing against the blackboard.

Pishh…I went to a Jesuit Grammar school, the Jesuit teacher would throw, spear like, the pole for opening the windows at anyone who spoke out of turn, I remember it bouncing off a couple of desks before hitting some poor lad at the back…..proper teachers Jesuits, took no prisoners….

Same happened to me in a restaurant. Woman wanted to kill the man on the table behind me, plate hit my temple side on, was off work three days, concussion.
