I learnt so much about style and fashion from these programmes, so little about Physics and Mathematics...

I've just started to watch The Game, set in the early seventies and featuring, amongsa other things, the miners' strike.

I remember the power cuts, scrabbling for candles,shopping in the dark and three day week at school. No floodlights in football and the roof of my newly built pre-fab concrete school sports hall collapsed. I've probably posted all this before but as it's the Oldies thread I assume that is forgiveable.
