Learning to swim in Garston Baths
Binnies bakers (for an iced bun) and Gerkins newsagents (for a quarter of mint imperials) on Garston Old Road
long hot summer days- 1977 Jubilee and street party
My first pair of footy boots with screw in studs (gola)
Playing football with a tennis ball at school lunch times -Everton Up, Liverpool down- 100+ kids.

Remember a time before everybody had microwaves and dishwashers, we just heated stuff up in the oven and washed it all in the sink? Remember when some people weren't even "on the phone", let alone everyone having mobiles? Remember having to get up out of your seat to change to one of the other three channels on telly, before video's, teletext, and even colour in some houses? Remember when the Echo was 12p? Remember legging it round to the shop late on a Saturday for the Pink Echo?

THIS IS WHY I SHOULDN'T HAVE DAYS OFF IN THE WEEK
