yeah, funny how some things stick in your mind, I remember buying a packet and it had 2 of the little blue bags in it, ( Luxury! ) at S. L'pool ( cost 2d ) when they played a Nigerian select 11 in the first floodlit game in Liverpool and the Nigerian team played in bare feet...in November.
They brought them back? Shows how long I've been away!

I remember a gang of us back in the late 60's convinced a small garage owner on the A74 that the in thing on Merseyside was Smiths sherbet and cabbage flavour, after being asked for it three times by different people he made note to order them. The same bloke didn't believe in hedgehog flavour ones though which actually were not bad at all.

Won't mean a thing this to anyone who hasn't lived here, but the legend that was the Cabin Club has finally shut after decades of service to the young and not so young.
Many many happy memories of the place and in the 80's and 90's it was responsible for a lot of one nighters and also plenty of relationships that went onto become marriages .
RIP the " Bin ".

Only went there a few times as me & my mates weren't student doctors or off duty bizzies. We used to have to blag some gullible fool in the queue to sign us in.
The owner was a nightmare when he was on the door, he had a simple policy of not letting anyone in that he didn't like the look of. We used to go all the time and he knew us, but sometimes we wouldn't get in for something as simple as being five minutes later than the week before !. Had some great times in there tho !
