Cork/McCarthy/Besic would be a very solid trio for years to come. Bit miffed by that, cant imagine they got much for him at all, 6 months on his contract i think?
Yes, he was concerned about his playing time and Koeman gave him a week to confirm if he was signing a new contract otherwise they wanted to sell him to atleast get some momey in.

Really like Cork, not flashy but dependable.

Lot of wedge to pay him. Was a cracking player until that illness and hasn't really hit the same heights which is understandable.
I know he had the operation but isn't ulcerative colitus something that can come back at any time even after that?

Admire the guy for his dedication in getting fit enough to play again but as you say, never been quite the same and that is a long contract at a very wage high wage given the circumstances.

Yes I'm pretty sure that it's something that could come back. Fair play to Allardyce though, the fat head has certainly put some effort in to bring a better quality of player to the club since the summer and they've had a decent season so far

Cuadrado's supposed to be having a medical with the chavs on Saturday, how the hell do the chavs keep getting clubs to pay more for their fringe players than they're worth.

City can't give theirs away Sinclair, Dzeko, Jovetic, Greedybayore to name a few, yet some sucker, sorry club always seems to rock up to pay the chavs a squillon pounds just in time to buy midfielder no 2,800,568.

Speaking of the Van Wolfwinkel effect, you should give the Tiote-Bentley-Rose-Walker Arsenal effect a go. All those tossers have done nowt much in their careers but all of the average effers are known for wonder goals they got against us.

Villa are going to break their nearly 9 hour scoring duck on Sunday at about 2pm. Benteke who hasn't scored since his injury, not to mention spending matches looking uninterested, is going to have a blinder and score against us. Only once since that SOB came to England has he failed to score against us home or away.

should be swansea's number 1 transfer target all day long to replace bony! not crap like cisse. maybe they'll wait until the summer to see if villa go down like, but that boy is a class act and a lot of teams will be lining him up as a bargain in the summer if villa go down.

amazing bargain for chelsea that cuadrado signing if it goes through, i've enjoyed watching them enough this season, but him and hazard on either wing will be amazing viewing. on par with bayern's robben/ribery combination in a few years.

Personally think there is something not quite what it seems with these.

Needed to move for the sake of his international career. I hope it works out for him, the lad has had rotten luck throughout his career. He missed 2 champions league finals, one through injury and the other because of a ridiculous red card he got for a perfectly good tackle on Fabregas in the semi finals, when Utd were 3-0 up anyway! Then he got that virus which he hasn't ever fully came back from.

He's always been fully committed to Scotland though, it's not always the case with Scotland players at massive clubs (thinking of the scottish kopites of the 80s like sourness, Hansen etc)

I wish Fletcher all the best, except when they play Everton of course!

Might be that he has stopped asking players to be represented by a specific agent. Apparently/Allegedly. *cough*

Aye I always thought that a big story was going to break about that a year or 2 ago? Maybe it did break but he wasn't named. I'm assuming he's married and you would think his missus would tell him to stop tying his tie so tight around that fat head of his that he looks like an overweight school kid in the headmasters office.

Or is it he has his tie too slack? It's one or the other and it burns my head. Can you imagine an Everton manager being a scruffy little fat head like him. He has froth at the side of his mouth during his post match interviews.
