The Pienaar situation

could be priced out of signing him.
It looks like levy will want to make a profit, and according to sky sports were not the only club after him. i cant see Moyes paying over 3m to get him back, although 3m for a player of his caibre is pretty cheap to other clubs.

i think he would like to move back, but anything over 3m and we would have to say no, we would look like right mugs if we brought him back for a higher price just 1 year on.

what does everyone think.

Levy is having a laugh if he thinks he'll profit from a player that he just bought last year, who's on high wages, and who's barely played for Spurs.

At most clubs, a clear out means that just about every sale is at breakeven or at a loss.

It'll be the same for Spurs with Pienaar.

*laughing here.

Spurs bought a player with 6months left on his contract.

They would be selling a player with 3 Years left on his contract.

Personally I think people who think Spurs should sell for less than 5m are having a laugh.

Doesn't matter that.

They need the money so they'll take what they can get. If they think they'll buy for 2M and sell for 5M, not a chance.

Oh, and Pienaar will tell 'em that he's going to Everton or he'll just stay and collect the 75k a week or whatever he's on.

I'm confident Spurs will get around 2M for him and move on.

This is the crucial part of it for me. He knows he ****ed up leaving and he loves being back, it's obvious to everybody.

Spurs can sell him to whoever they want.

If Everton wont pay the 5m, lots of other Clubs would.

And as much as he "loves" being back at Everton, if a CL team came in, im sure he would "love" that also.

The ball is clearly in Spurs court, hopefully Kenwrong and Moyes played a blinder and got a good deal sorted.

I hope he stays, but to say Spurs are wrong in demanding a "fair" fee for him is wrong IMO.

Spurs need the money so are selling fringe players?

Really?

I thought they were ok for money really to be honest so doubt they'd be too willing to make a loss on Pienaar.

I'd expect any fee to be around about what they paid for him to be honest taking all factors into account.

Have you seen the games from earlier on in the season where Velios started? He isn't ready right now and at best is useful as a sub. For the games which he started, he went missing for the majority of the match and looked a bit off pace. The fact that now we have more strikers than we know what to do with (Jelavic, Big Vic, Stracq, McFadden) means he's not going to get a look in. Honestly, I'd send him out on loan like we did McAleny, Baxter, etc.

Barkley and Duffy, are seemingly very good prospects, but I don't think they're ready yet. They certainly wouldn't get in over Jags, Heitinga, Distin, Gibbo, etc right now. I think Duffy is more ready than Barkley, but I think for the most part they're not ready for full 1st team roles yet.

To be honest, I can't see Rodwell breaking through the first team fully either anymore. Fellaini is one of the best defensive-mids in the league, and Gibbo has been absolutely outstanding for us. The two of them really solidify our midfield, and I can't see Rodwell coming in and breaking that up.

Play him off a striker like he did for England.

IGNORE Sky Sports ..

Lesson #1 ...

they gonna give back for the same price they bought him for? with peanut taking a paycut?

Well ... Kinda YES ..

He wants OUT .. They WANT HIM OUT ..

They pay Modric £40K p/w currently ..They need to find HIS increase PLUS Adebayor's £80K ..

So , yeah tbh .. In that area anyways ..

As for the wages . He gets a rise- from last time .. hes happy
