Ive slacked a lot this month, got bored with swimming and couldnt stand the gym, so ive cancelled my membership and going back to walking tomorrow, gonna push hard for the whole of August.

I blame the weather changing. Soon as the sun and heat went I stopped trying. No need to panic about t-shirts when it's not t-shirt weather.
 
Can't win, can you?


Yeah, I'm in a weight loss cycle and eating far more vegetables than I prefer. Don't mind the cherries for snacking at all, but those won't be cheap here for much longer. Slow going, as the weather forces me to exercise either late at night or at some ungodly early morning hour. Didn't exercise at all this past week, because I realized early this week it was just too dangerous for someone susceptible to heat exhaustion to be out there for extended periods at any hour.

The rain finally showed up and took the edge off things, so I can get back out there.
Yeah, the week or so of really sunny weather we had got me out of my walking and when the rain came I was out of the routine so it was hard to get back on.

But gonna push hard this month to try and make it back.

Going on a hot tub holiday with the wife in September so ive got some motivation. Not for her like, she doesnt care what I look like, but hopefully attract some doggers at the site, yano?

Myself, my dad and my brother are heading to Australia in August to see my sister and I couldn't be more excited. Was supposed to fly over in April 2020 and we all know how that worked out. She's been living there for something like 12 years and I've never been over, so basically living for it now. I have one more week of work to get through and have been meticulously tying up every single loose end so I don't have to think of the place once while I'm over there
 
I really liked swimming, but I was in a pool with other humans and im not really a human person.

I do enjoy a good walk tho, headphones on, tunes booming and just me and my thoughts for an hour or 2.



Walks are great, about the only form of physical exertion I enjoy. Your post about hating things for not being Mars bars really hit home with me btw, absolutely love them

I knew what I was doing wrong.

Snacking late at night on things like chocolate and crisps, ice cream, drinking huge amounts of full fat coke, not exercising AT all.

Although giving up these things was really hard, I could make changes quite easily.
 

Started watching my calories more carefully with this app and have already lost 10 lbs. Once I drop another 15 lbs, I’ll be back at my ideal weight which I haven’t been at for about 10 years.

It’s a great feeling knowing I’m making progress

Yeh it's weird. I did like 8 weeks pure full on hardcore from May and I felt belting but last 3 weeks completely fallen back into my old cycle, even though I feel like poop, and I know how good I feel after being healthy? It's bizarre. Just addicted to the taste of bad foods. But I did go see a doctor and nutritionist and I have an eating disorder so it makes sense.
One way of losing a few grams...
 
That sounds boss tbf and it’s something we toyed with the idea of doing, just pissing off somewhere and eloping. But for her, sharing the day with her nearest and dearest was something she thought she’d regret down the line, which I thought was fair enough.
I’ve been to big weddings and small weddings. 100% bride and groom look happier at small weddings. Looks a complete stress and having to speak to loads of people and be smiling and the centre of attention all day. Horrible.

You’d have to be insane to enjoy all that.
 
What app you using?
It’s called Noom. It can be a little pricey but there are loads of discount codes out there.

I hate exercising at a gym and prefer to get my exercise playing basketball or tennis but that can be inconsistent. So something like this is a much easier way for me to drop some weight
