I think we've been looking a little tired, but then again, how much of that is down to no Lukaku? It's certainly a tough ask, i don't think anyone will deny that, but one thing for certain is that Arsenal always finish the season strongly, and seemingly everyone writes them off every season, but we've got a big opportunity with winnable games against Palace, Cardiff, Swansea and potentially United, and certainly have a chance against Arsenal and City at home. Away from home, we need to be looking at Newcastle, Sunderland, Hull certainly as ones to be picking up maximum if we want a chance. Either way, i'm enjoying the run, it's a small run, and i'd say it's unlikely, but it's Everton, we never do anything easy!

...I think we are looking more like a side that has had a lot of injuries and hence players coming back who are not up to match speed. I think we will get better and better (barring further injuries), as the sharpness returns. The only player I see as tired is Barry (not overly surprising given he plays every game...wish Gibbo could do that!)

We'v Had a injury laden couple of months, tied with a tough month of fixtures and unlucky defeats. IMO our league posistion is a little miss-leading. End of March will say a lot. We'v got very winnable games if we put it together, spurs and arsenal have a very tough month ahead!

Keep the faith, we'll be close still I feel.

I think our position is reflective of the season so far to be honest, we as usual are victims of it.

Going into the Derby we could have moved 4th with a win. 3 defeats and a win later and we are down in 6th / 7th place and out of it entirely. Got to say if those defeats were spread out a little bit then for some reason i dont think it would be that bad. As they all happened one after another basically it has kncoked us.

HOWEVER i have said it many times before, on paper every game is winnable for us now. We are better than most of the teams we play home or away and getting united city and arsenal at goodison should work in our favour.

It all depends on what happens between now and april, we go on a winning run and we could well close the gap, we drop points here and there then obiously we are relying on staying above united for europe.

That and the little thing of the F.A cup.

Got to win the next 3 to get back into contention, then it's a showdown with Arsenal
This is possible, but difficult

I can realistically see us getting 24 from the last 33 available. 72 points would be an amazing first season points total for Martinez to have run up; in fact, anything around the 70 point mark would be.

The highest total Moyes achieved was 65 points in 2007/08; and the season he got us into the CL qualifiers we got 61 points.

I don't think we'll quite manage that tbh. We've averaged 1.77 points per game to this point, so it'd be reasonable to suggest that we could match that between now and May if we perform at our level, which would give us 19/20 more points on the board, so a total of 67/68.

...which would be fantastic.

I think it's down to who we have to play in those 11 games though. We had a dog of a period since Christmas in comparison with the first third of the season. Last 'third' I think we have more winnable games on paper.

I expect us to be knocking very loudly on the door of 5th place and amassing 70 points.

I hope you're right, but my prediction is that we'll be competing with United for 6th mate.

We've got eleven games left, but the Barclay's site has us down for nine - the Palace game hasn't got a date, yet. Haven't we got to play Newcastle at their place? Can't find it listed anywhere.

Yes mate - I think Newcastle away was meant to be this weekends fixture but has to be moved now.

Spurs are just two points ahead if we win our game in hand. They have a dog of a run in, full of games against title contenders and London Derbies...not to mention they still have a fair few EL games it would seem, and the Thursday/Sunday schedule that goes with it.

Maybe United can pip us to 5th if they get v.Persie firing again. I dont expect Spurs to be in front of us though.

I'm actually the opposite mate.

See SPurs as more of a threat than United.

In Adebayor they have what all teams need right now. A striker who scores nearly every game. Hopefully it will stop like. I just think Spurs have so many good players they will pick up results.

Unlike United.
