Those days are over unfortunatly. Can he find this generation's versions of Pienaar,, Arteta, Coleman, Baines and Cahill? Will settle for three of them.

You knew this already though. Moyes coming back doesn't change that.Back to square 1, the last 9 years have been a complete waste of everyone's time and money.
Those days are over unfortunatly.
I was talking in terms of bargains. The 2.5 millions and 60k are a dream.Plenty of talent in the Championship that we’ve decided we didn’t want to go for anymore.
Hopefully we can go back to that under him.
Bowen was a Moyes signing. I could see Tom Fellows coming now, seems like a very Moyes signing to me that. Those days are over unfortunatly.
No manager was taking a 6 month contract in 2025 & in reality it’s irrelevant.
Wasnt that when we made Champions League?Welcome back Cardiola.

Could argue he's already got some of them with ndiaye and PattersonCan he find this generation's versions of Pienaar,, Arteta, Coleman, Baines and Cahill? Will settle for three of them.
Thelwell seems to have quite a broad remit related to football operations, so maybe he is the kind of bloke who would be happy for Moyes to dictate who he wants and then try and get them for him. My hunch is TFG will put their own structure in place around Moyes if he signs for 2.5 years, which will not include Kev.And if the Manager is prepared to take that responsibility then all the better. I can never get why a 'Director of Football' can call the shots with players and not be responsible week to week for the outcome.
Yes after our best player was to United.Wasnt that when we made Champions League?
I'm not sure it's quite that simple to be honest. Anecdotally, I often find the older generations are a bit more relaxed about it, possibly because they've seen us win stuff and are content with that. It's often the younger fans who by rights should have absolutely no expectation of success whatsoever who are the most vocal about 'NSNO', because they've heard stories of how good we used to be (a long, long, time ago now) and believe that they have a divine right to see the same as their parents/grandparents saw. This is pretty much the conflict between the fans of younger and older generations.
People that started following Everton in the bitter 90s think, I'd take that again the Moyes years again instead of being 16th, 15th, 12th, 17th or whatever.
People that witnessed Everton in the 70s and 80s winning multiple titles, think the best of the rest mentality doesn't do credit to one of the biggest clubs in the country.
