Great. Yet another era of dampened expectations and being told to be happy with what we've got. Which is nothing.

We’re not going to catapult from the Dyche hole to challenging for honours with one managerial appointment windy friend. We have a lot of ground to make up currently, and I feel re establishing ourselves as a solid mid table outfit with no drama is a boring but necessary stepping stone sadly.

We'll just be a 7th to 10th place team under Moyes better than the last three years yes, but being happy enough with just merely making up the numbers shouldn't be what Everton is all about.

Unfortunately the opposite is the case. A depressing/retrograde appointment if it happens, and we go to the new stadium with a relic from the Kenwright era as manager.

Bring on the "good times" eh. Another couple of years worth of crapping the bed in the truly big games await us.
Being a 7th to 10th team for the next 3 seasons would be a massive achievement. Have u noticed how far we've sunk?

Right now 7 to 10th would be a huge improvement. We haven’t finished above 10th since 2019.

The club has been a basket case for years and desperately needs a period of stability and platform to build from. Moyes might not be a glamorous appointment but he will give the building blocks to get the club back where it should be but it’s certainly not going to happen overnight

I really don't feel like we're ever going to make the jump. It strikes me that we are further from competing for anything, even just qualifying for Europe, with every new tread water appointment. It's all just so deflating. We've been left behind.
