he hates everything and anything about the club

cares more about liverpool

so take of it what you want…
There’s a couple of them like that 🤔

At least one other who spends all his time in the RS thread, very occasionally pops out of there for a quick look around to see if he can accuse a blue of being a kopite in some insane effort to prove he’s a ‘top blue’ before running back to the RS Thread.

Very odd these weirdos 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, looks like Moyes so I guess “Needs Must” and fingers crossed he makes sure we enter BMD as a Premier League Team.

Not bothered by contract length ‘too’ much as the owners have proved at Roma they can be ruthless… just the payout if it goes wrong will again pee me off!!

‘In theory’.. there’s your problem right away! If it was that easy everyone would have managers for decades!
Who’s to say Moyes can’t do that? Strong argument to say we’d be in a better place in 5 years if we let him stay that long (I don’t want him to).
And to counter your theory, most of us thought Dyche would have taken us on again this year to comfortable mid table.. but he didn’t, we regressed badly.
Not everything is black and white and sometimes you gotta play the hand your given.
I dare say we’ll both be happy if Moyes stabilises us and provides a platform for better things👍
Every appointment is theoretical. We could appoint Guardiola and he could cock it up; indeed, Moyes might take us into Europe first year at BMD. My issue has always been that this change in ownership, financial restructure and pending stadium move was supposed to usher in a new era for us and here we are, crawling back to a guy who last oversaw a struggling Everton ~20 years ago. I dread to think how many times my name would come up in a search of recent posts for “uninspiring” but that’s exactly what it is.

The Wham fans didn't like his football though. No doubt if he comes back, that complaint will come back here too.

They are weird though. They have this idea of playing the “West Ham Way” even though they have played [Poor language removed] football for years before Moyes went in. They were constantly down at the arse end of the league.

Some of the stuff played later in his tenure wasnt bad - probably what got him the Utd job.

Always find it hard to tell if it's the manager or the limits of the players they have. At least Moyes did improve our squad and football over the years with little money. Baines, Pienaar, Arteta, Cahill, Coleman, Lescott, Fellaini, Osman, Rooney, Carsley, Gravesen, Yakubu, Jagielka - all played well under him. He also got good performances out of very average players like Bent, Hibbert, Kilbane, Neville, Stubbs.

I don't know if he has what he had back then - if he is worse or better - but he oversaw a very long and stable period that was wrecked by the Mosh era.
Just looking at those names reminds me that Moyes could spot a decent player - and I'd love to see any with that calibre in our current set up.
More importantly he'll recognise who isn't good enough and hopefully get rid sharpish.

Villa and Forrest survive relegation scares put it behind them and go for it the next season, Everton survive but decide that we need 2/3 years recovery time or stability ready for a europa
Conference push sometime in 2029

We don’t have to keep him until the end of his contract.

Indeed, it may well have been discussed that he’s only there for 6 months and he wants the pay-off.

It’s exactly the deal we had with Allardyce.

Look, I understand he’s not the dream appointment. But we were never going to get our man in a hurry mid-season.

Given that, I can live with this marriage of convenience. Sometimes pragmatism is the right choice.

superb
