Obviously not, they were one of the best sides in Europe for years under Sir Alex, they hired a manager content with finishing in the top half. Job was too big for him imo.

Miles too big. His skill set - improving cheap players and selling on at a profit - wasn’t the requirement there. A terrible fit.

Wed all give our right leg for some mid table mediocrity right now. Moving into the new stadium.

Why can't we just get stable over the next two years?

Because eventually it leads to complacency and acceptance after a few years which what saw the club decline further in the first place.

And any disconcerting voices will be met with “be careful what wish for “ and stuff like that . Fear of risking a repeat of the 90s, the early 2000s and now the 2020s.

The club knew this under Kenwright, playing on it.

Do I think the club needs stability? Of course. Let’s not repeat the behaviours of the past is all im saying.

I think this is the right signing for this moment in time. Decisive. I have to believe TFG will be working overtime the rest of the season scouting out the long-term manager. UTFT
