1/5 for moyes on oddschecker, next is 14/1. I'd rather have allardyce but at 66/1 same as rooney looks like moyes it is. Big step backwards, never liked him, the future for our club doesn't look good.

Doesn’t really have anything to do with financial health to be honest

Newcastle’s owners have so much money they sleep on Evian waterbeds and they’ve not been able to spend because of the bogus PSR and FFP rules

We still have an outstanding charge in relation to the new ground don’t forget

Newcastle have spent absolutely loads though.

I'd hope they've at least sought out the likes of Terzic, Mancini.

Plenty have told me over the months that the money we pay, we could tempt them - even Allegri!

There's also the likes of Rudy Garcia and Niko Kovac. Sarri, too.

There's 6 out of contract.

No idea on PSR realities or cost to sack Dyche and compensation to bring in another - but I'd hope they'd also consider if they could nab Thomas Frank.

Prior to TFG, I accepted we were in Dyche/Moyes territory. Had hoped we'd moved on since.

I think it’s going to take time until we’re out of the hole Moshiri left us in

The new owners can’t build Rome in a day (pun marginally intended)

Odds don’t mean a lot, Mourinho was fav yesterday, only the media are reporting Moyes without any real knowledge just guessing

How many times did Moyes finish above 5th place exactly?
I can only remember once .
And I said Martinez had us vying ( challenging ) for 4th place not finishing in it .
The football was not just ‘nicer’ it was vastly superior and closer to the football that the former ‘School of Science’ should be playing than anything Dour Davey was capable of producing.

And how many times did Carlo finish above 5th place?

Zero.

Taking results out of context we could argue that any manager we've ever had is poor.

Should be noted Martinez 5th was also our highest ever EPL points tally too, iirc it would have got us 4th in 9 of the previous 10 seasons or something.
