The sale of Fellaini

how can people say the decision was booed and not fellaini, fellaini was booed and then cheers could be heard when gibson came on, if the decision was booed gibson would of been booed aswell.

No. People didnt mind Gibson coming on but would've preferred Osman to go off

People weren't booing his performance or singling him out - because loads had shocking games today (Neville had the worst game I've ever seen an Everton player have ever, for example) - they were booing that one moment of pure and utter tittishness that basically screamed out, "nah, can't be arsed, screw you all, not arsed if you paid £40+ to watch this, I want out of this game to get back to the dressing room and play Angry Birds on my phone."

This - he acted the complete bell and got called out for it.

Tbh I missed the turning the back on the ball thing, if that's the case then he deserved to go off.

This is what I don't understand - Fellaini clearly basically said he wanted to come off, so Moyes took him off. What else was Moyes supposed to do, let Fellaini sulk around the pitch for half an hour?
.

Did he? It looked to me that he was just pissed off with hsi own performance and it peaked with that misplaced pass. In a moment of extreme frustration he didn't realise the ball was coming back his way.

I think its bollocks to say he couldn't be arsed or wanted to come off, just because he doesn't chase everythinf full pelt for 90 mins doesn't mean he doesn't care as a professional, if anything id say his reaction shows he does care.

If anything i'm surprised people aren't moaning at Moyes for taking him off at that moment allowing the crowd to boo him off. As chico said in the match thread, he is still one of our most likely players to do soemthing even on a bad day.

Didn't play like he can do today, but to boo him was abysmal.

What an awful, awful ****ing day this is.

Was at the match and Fellaini was getting stick all game. Then he got booed.

Neville got booed too. Yes he was terrible, but to boo him? Made me feel embarrassed

No, he turned his back on play completely. He didn't even face up to the man, he turned around completely disinterested.

It was a disgrace. Look, this isn't someone "fun" to have a pop at like Neville, I am a MASSIVE Fellaini fan but I have to call a spade a spade - what he did was a complete disgrace. It doesn't matter what his reasoning for it was, he simply shouldn't have done it as it massively disrespects the fans and his teammates.

I was there today.
Giving the Paddock stick? Absolutely inexcusable.

In terms of his footballing ability, his goals have no doubt carried us this season.

However, it's becoming increasingly evident that he's an utter snide. There are quotes from him trying to engineer a move away from us on a weekly basis. No player is bigger than the club. Sell.

He'll come out and apologise for it I think, which is what is needed and I'm sure people will forgive him if he does, but what he did was the mark of a snide - if Suarez did that we'd be laughing our heads off.

In a way i'm surprised he's lasted this long, but his head has well and truly been turned now.

He's had more poor performances since January than good ones, he was pretty poor last week save for his goal.

I'm not arsed how good he's been this season, it's no excuse to act like an utter bell. Baines usually plays better than everybody else week in week out, you don't see him trotting around like he doesn't give a s**t.

A disgraceful performance.

Moyes used his brains.

He saw an opportunity to deflect, and took it.

Completely dis-interested today? To echo others, rightly boo'd off by my self and many others for a shocking display. I simply could t believe the amount of time he lost the ball and failed to make any effort to chase down! Where is the dot along ambition to play at Wembley again.

He's been gash since Jan, save for a few goals, clearly thinks he's bigger than the club now. He'll never get anywhere near the Chelsea side with performances like the last 2/3 months.

I don't care how well Fellaini has played this season, turning his back on play was a disgrace. Neville was my man of the match today for wigan, his through ball for their second goal was inch perfect. Well done Moyes, you're a tactical genius, now phone yourself a taxi and clear off, I used to like you but now I can't wait for you to leave.

I disagree, to me it looked like he played a poor pass, then turned his back out of frustration not expecting the ball to come back, then when it did he played on.

He didn't turn his back on the ball because he wasn't arsed, he turned his back on a poor pass because he was arsed.

Should he have done it? Nah of course, after playing a poor pass he should have carried on and tried to get it back. But its understandable that at that point in time he was pretty pissed off so reacted in the heat of the moment, doesn't mean he was thinking "ah sod this i'm off to Chelsea".

Just my view, fair enough you see it different.
