The sale of Fellaini

A single act of petulance from a genuine, World Class footballer, on the end of an absolute bumming from Wigan Athletic in a big game.

Shock, horror.

For the past three years in succession, the lad has covered more ground than any other Everton player.

I agree but the lad is playing with no heart now. He's made up that nobody how Everton finish, he wont be here come next season. I really didn't expect to see Fellaini have an attitude like this, especially considering how much we've all supported him through his time at the club.

The whole team today apart from Distin and Miralles are all guilty of what Felli did , but in different ways.....Yes he had a god awful game , but how many times in the past has he saved us. I think we all know he will be gone in the summer , but let's remember the times he gave his all.

how can people say the decision was booed and not fellaini, fellaini was booed and then cheers could be heard when gibson came on, if the decision was booed gibson would of been booed aswell.

Bit harsh on Mucha that :P. Baines and Barkley as well.

No heart?

We'd be fighting relegation without his goals this season.

The Club, and his team mates are routinely letting him down.

Credit to him for carrying us this season - his manager hung him out to dry earlier in the season, and the Club lied to him with empty promises (ambitions matched for new contract) and in return he's delivered a double figure goal tally.

Well put.

It was unprofessional and the crowd let him know it but he's been our best player this season imo and we shouldn't forget that.

sounds like you have washed your hands of the club upstairs and in the dugout?

No doubt he has contributed largely yes, but that doesn't excuse shocking performances like today. It isn't the first time he's played terrible either, just today was more noticeable due to the rest of the players looking just as gash.

You never, ever turn your back on the ball or the fans. You can usually tell after 20 or so minutes whether Fellaini is up for a game or not, today he wasn't.

As I said, he has gave us many memories and been sublime earlier this season. Since January however, the lad has been just trotting about. Combine that with the speculation at the end of every game where he comes out and says he wants to join Chelsea. I'm sick of it all.

It's that simple for me. Not arsed about what he's done this season, today was an isolated 90 minute cup game and what he did was inexcusable.

I'm a Fellaini fan but I'm not even going to try and justify what he did there. Yes, Moyes set the side out wrong and bottled it again, so you can blame Moyes for the overall performance, but Moyes didn't make Fellaini act like a right idiot and basically wash his hands of the fans and the club for the rest of the game in one moment of petulance.

This is what I don't understand - Fellaini clearly basically said he wanted to come off, so Moyes took him off. What else was Moyes supposed to do, let Fellaini sulk around the pitch for half an hour?

Nah, loads of things I can blame Moyes for today (and I will, legitimately), but Fellaini deciding to act like a spoilt child isn't one of them. He deserved every boo he got - he's not bigger than the club and never will be.

massive fellaini fan. thought his performance was terrible, but so was everyone else's. he's single handedly carried us this season, he wanted top 4, i think most of his moaning was born out at frustration. Probably because he's a world class player playing for a club who show absolitely no ambition. Not excusing his performance one bit or his attitude, but he has ambition to achieve things with us and sadly that isn't shared by our board or our managerial team.

maybe moyes should have shown the same ruthlessness this season by taking neville and heitinga off in games where they have been poor/not arsed in many games this season.

Turning your back after giving the ball away and not trying to get it back when 3 nil down in a FA cup Quarter Final is most definitely not Everton

People weren't booing his performance or singling him out - because loads had shocking games today (Neville had the worst game I've ever seen an Everton player have ever, for example) - they were booing that one moment of pure and utter tittishness that basically screamed out, "nah, can't be arsed, screw you all, not arsed if you paid £40+ to watch this, I want out of this game to get back to the dressing room and play Angry Birds on my phone."
