Baines is a disposable asset, who stays because it suits his private life and btw great going forward but poor defensively for me.

Dude, its 2013, the days of Baines being a bit suspect at the back are long gone.

Hes the complete player.

I think he'll end up abroad in all honesty. We'll most likely be obstinate in his valuation and want a lot of money, we've been good negotiators in the past.

I don't see how he'll fit in some of those teams you mentioned. And I do genuinely think he's very inconsistent, especially against sides who out muscle him. I doubt his attitude will be better at any other club as well, but I can see him play for PSG.

Real could be a destination. They must need an anchor, as they recruited Essien and there are reports of Alonso going back to Liverpool.

We use him as a forward, whereas his preference is to play deeper. He can win the ball and he has very good distribution. The question might be whether clubs want to pay top dollar for a destroyer.

Don't agree, but people intimate you may be on the large side, so I'll hide behind the keyboard. No finer sight going forward though!

alonso back to liverpool? please

If he scores a few more goals before the end of the season he will go to a big club, if he doesn't he'll just chase da money.

Baines is the epitome of a professional footballer, or should be.

A gentleman on, and off the pitch, and a stats show, one of the most creative players in football. And has created the most chances in European football so far this season.

He wouldn't even fetch £15 million, we have to keep hold of him. Lock him up if need be.

But in strengthening the squad you can weaken the team. New money is required an d not just the sky deal

The lesser of two evils I'm afraid, sell one of your best players for a load, he's still young remember, and reinvest in positions we actually need to strengthen- A striker and a CM to partner Gibson is a minimum in the summer.

And to boost up numbers in squad players if there is any left over.

Don't think I've argued with anything you say there to be fair. On the other hand, nothing you have said makes him a good defender. Superb in a flowing attacking team, God know's what he's doing at Goodison!

I'd be gutted if Baines went, he's one of the few lids on the payroll I'm arsed about. A local lad, sound with it, boss at togger and a blue. Most of the others can do one but we need to build a new team around him.

We need to sell Fellaini because he wants to go. There's no point having players that don't want to be here. Swerve that laa. His dad is a tit as well so I'll be glad to see the back of him. No doubt the utter sphincter will spout off some more guff when he eventually moves about how Everton were holding him back or something.

I'm fairly sure that Fellaini won't go for unless someone offers at least £20m, and I think with that money we could become a better team all round.

Irrespective of the lad's ability, isn't it a sad indictment of our current position that the left back is the most potent attacking option. Teams need to be built around central midfielders not full backs. As an edit I would say that should be a central spine
