The sale of Fellaini

No we don't, we cant keep relying on our youth system or manager to pull out a jem from the bargain sales. We as a club need to organically grow, not rely on the tv money ( It's no benefit to us if all the other clubs get it ) that is the core of our problems, poor management from the board ( Since the start of the premiership )

Unfortuntely it is. We havent the financial backing to compete with top clubs in the transfer market or keep hold of our players. The best way to survive under this board is to bring youth through or buy cheap and sell for massive profits. Exactly what we've been doing the last 10 seasons.

Its life as Everton Football Club and its also not bad business sense.

It's awful business sense, this board and the previous ones have been small time and failed in ground moves. As i said, we can't keep on relying on luck and hoping that the youth provides us with some family silver to sell every few years time.

We are Everton, not some small time club. I don't want to survive, i want to win things, i want glory.

Wont happen under this board and Moyes. Maybe an FA Cup but who knows

The amount of money that we receive from the new TV deal is based upon our position in the league at the end of next season. So any extra expenditure this summer will have to be provided by a loan, one of the directors aught to provide the cash but I wouldn't hold your breath.

It is also correct to bring attention to our annual losses of approaching 10 million. This season's loss will have to be covered as will next year's probably? That's 20 million to be covered, and it will be taken out of one of the transfer sales or the new TV money revenue streams.

We missed the boat by not making moves in this last transfer window.

There is a guaranteed increase of around £20m per club regardless of league position.

Anyway, we lost £9m last year, but this year we have:

- Much higher gate receipts
- Probable improved league position
- New sponsorship deals

A decent amount of that £9m figure will be written off by that.

I'm of the opinion the sale of Fellaini along with Heitinga in the summer will spell an even greater push towards Champions League Football next season.

Two of the highest paid players off the wage bill and a war chest which includes the sum recieved for Fellaini and additional TV revenue.

I'm looking at that situation and Moyes having potentially £35m to splash out on additional players.

Fellaini is a massive player for us but certainly not irreplaceable with that type of money behind us and some shrewd business by Moyes.

He would be mad not to sign a contract if this happened. Get Fellaini out the door early and let the real push for CL football begin.

We would be better suited in the Europa League next season anyway.

Light at the end of every tunnel!

Agree with a lot of that, i think i'd be more gutted if we lost the likes of Baines & Jags tbh!. Felli is a cracking player on his day, dont get me wrong, but i do think we can get by and move on without him.

The money we'd generate from his sale, coupled that with other player sales (Heitinga & fringe players) and the extra tv money coming in, i do feel Moyesy would be able to strengthen us even more and lead us to new heights.

But who's to say the manager will stay, let alone Felli, or Baines for that matter?!.

Could be a really big summer for us, alot of changes?!.

Johnny wont leave, nobody will pay him the wages we do.

Fellaini will leave for around 15m and Megson will be given 5m.

Its written in the stars, million miles away.

If he's ever appointed Everton manager in my life time i'll stop supporting the club, thats no word of a lie!.

..............any push will have to surely include Fellaini. Can't see Heitinger moving, looks like he's running down his contract to me. Getting to the next level will need investment, not selling our best players to generate funds.

We get to Cup Finals, long runs in Europe and we still post loses.

And I laugh at the new Sponsorship deals, LAUGH AT THEM.

We won't spend any tv money on transfers.

However, some people will justify the reason why.

IMO we'd be at least 10 points worse off this season without Fellaini's contribution. I'd be very surprised if we could replace him with someone who would have the same kind of impact.

11 goals and 5 assists in 29 games.. I'd personally keep a player who is responsible for better than 1 goal every 2 games.
