The Sancho is overrated thread

He's obviously got talent just think that United might not be the right place for him at the moment. He will definitely be a good player whether he hits target depends on how high you thought he would get.

Hey you guys give the kid a chance i thought yesterday was his best for us since arriving at Old Trafford , the way United are performing at the moment will not help his confidence and its up to OGS and the other players to sort it all out , by the way you guys played well yesterday looked very organised and deserved at least a draw , but Sancho and United are very inconsistent at the moment so lets wait and see

You don't get chances when you move for such money, Maybe I can cut some slack with OGS managing him but he'll have to perform a lot better to win me over.

Yes i take your point but the price tag is not his doing , players need time to settle i remember players like Vidic and Evra who were awful at United for first few months but they did ok eventually

Why are English players afraid to play in Europe for extended lengths of time these days?
I feel like he could have been a star in the Bundesliga.
Is it a financial thing? English clubs pay more for English players

Salary from the club + bonuses
Endorsement deals
Prestige of premier league
Prefers being in England

Seems to just need time to adapt...i see him taking this year to settle.

He got in and stayed in England squads of course so i think he just needs time.

Supposedly the rumour is that he felt he wouldn’t get a proper run at the England set up and didn’t feel his German “achievements” were appreciated.

still think he’s a cracking player, but just like Van De Beek, Solskjaer’s man management has been horrendous and he’s broken the lad in 3 months, which is impressive, an achievement Koeman would be proud of.

Just like in Italy in the 80's to early 00's when it was the biggest richest league on the planet, Italian players never left Italy either, not many Spanish players have played abroad either.

Tends to be the Farmer's leagues of Portuguese, Belgian, French and German players who tend to play abroad the most.

PL pays the most, the standard is the best right now, it attracts the best coaches as well.

100%. Look at Haller and Jovic. Both failures once left the league.
Haller and Jovic both coming from the same system at Frankfurt has more to do with that particular issue for me. There have been plenty of successes from Germany too. A certain Kevin De Bruyne really broke through at Wolfsburg, Aubameyang was great before he got a bit too old, Sane, Gundogan, Rudiger to an extent. Trying to paint leagues with broad strokes is weird and dumb.
