The season fizzling out...

Yeah, think it's gone flat now though.

Enthusiasm generally is pretty low at the moment - expected really given bad run of form combined with very dull football.

Mad really, we're not far off Europe but I'm just thinking bring on next season...
Yeah.

I’m hoping fans at grounds will make a difference.

Must admit I'm as close to giving up on them as I ever have been. Not sure if it's just because I can't go to the games or the awful football or the fact that even appointing Ancelotti and signing James hasn't made a blind bit of difference, but I really am fed up of them at the moment. Literally the only thing making me lean towards renewing my season ticket is not wanting to miss out on the final days of Goodison.

This season is a dud, We've took 2 points from Palace Burnley and Brighton, Teams don't get europe with that return add on that the football is garbage and half our team is dead.

We had our chance and blown it numerous times so I'm not even angry, Just waiting for the next season with hopefully a competent RB/RM.

The massive disappointment for me is the way this has gone after such an exceptional first few weeks. I suppose things will get better, but it's hard to see
how as things are.

I suppose we will win again this season but it doesn't feel like it.

You’re only ever a couple of losses away from being crap IMO. And in the case of this week, about 5 mins.

We didn’t concede in the late stages vs Palace, or we took another of our many chances, and threads like this wouldn’t keep popping up.

I’m not blaming the OP, because I’m sure his thoughts echo many on here, I’m just pointing out the fickleness of us as football fans.

The standard of football for 90% of the last 18 months has been average at best. I honestly think we were punching above our weight in the early parts of this season when other teams were also having very odd results due to the CV19 stadium issues.

We really need to inject some sort of enthusiasm for next season.

The glut of incredibly poor and knee jerk costly signings before Carlo arrived has done for us. With the injuries to our new Carlo era signings and injuries to players who've improved under him we've had no option but to play this dead wood we all condemned 2 years ago.

For me it's the bench, when things need a change mid game we simply have nothing at our disposal to do this........even when we have our first 11 out.

To compound this with extra Europa games would have really and truly hurt us.

The task is massive and the season has truly gone as I personally expected, it can't be any other way with such a shallow squad, no top 6 team is spread as thinly as us.

I don't even think it's fickle to be honest, it's just a results business isn't it. Win and people will be happy, lose and they won't. That's probably magnified by the fact our football is dire, so you don't even enjoy the game while it's on only to be disappointed by the result, you just find the whole thing frustrating.

Up the Toffees.

I've convinced myself Ancelotti doesn't want UEFA cup Thursday night football, we have looked laboured playing twice a week as it is.
