Steven Pienaar vs West Ham

Sorry for the two clips that have messed up.

I think i'll be alone in the fact i don't actually rate him that highly, he's a neat player but his crossing and shooting isn't up to standards, I would've rather looked at spending the 4.5m on a younger player who could learn to adapt with baines, But he's here so i'll support him.

i agree his passing and shooting aren't great. I'll put it this way, if it's stoppage time in a tied cup final, I don't want him taking the final shot. But there's so much more to his game, he traps and controls the ball so well, and can change direction so quickly it makes him impossible to read. He also plays ground balls into the box well, and he works incredibly hard. Plus lets face it, he wins a ton of free kicks... it's the overlooked aspect of the Bainaar relationship.

Great vid!

His passing is bad? Pienaar is one of the few players in the team that actually makes meaningful passes in the final third. Yeah not all of his passes come off but that's part of what you get when creating.
His best aspects are his dribbling, vision, and work rate. You can't get the ball off him without fouling him and again he knows how thread a ball through a defence.

Strange that, he is one of the very few with technical ability. His defensive work and work rate is tremendous, his off the ball work is intelligent.

He's good but he's not as good as he thought he was when he was angling for a big pay packet. He languished in Ajax and Spurs bench and or reserves for just that reason. Just as he and Baines enchance Us we enhance him
