The way Bobby wants us to play I can't for the life of me envisage him not bringing anyone else in before the window slams shut. We desperately need a mid who is comfortable on the ball and can see a pass and similarly a centre half who is good at bringing the ball out from the back. If we don't bring these in we could be looking at mid table mediocrity at best this season and Bobby must surely be aware of this. At this point I'd actually welcome a 20m bid for Fellaini becuase even with him in the side I don't see us being able to play Bobby's passing game with the players we currently have. I've always been a Fellaini fan btw, right from his first game, had his name on the back of my shirt, so I'd be gutted if he went

It all depends on the price with Mcarthy IMO. I don't care he's from Wigan, but if we pay big money then I really will be doubting RM transfer scouting. On the other hand if he costs around his value of 8M to play backup/rotation with Fellaini and Gibson then I'm willing to go along with that. Again on yet another hand, if Fellaini goes we then need 2 coming in, with one being of recognised quality at least.

If that is the case, i would phone Moyes and tell him there is a deal to be done for Baines. As much as i would hate seeing him go, realistically now is the last chance we could sell for good money and we have by all accounts Oviedo and Garbutt who can play there at a decent level.

What is painfully obvious though, is if we are to continue playing the new style Martinez wants, there's a lack of talent in the middle of the pitch. The last few games have highlighted the fact you need someone mobile who can take the ball from the back and find space, not just fancy passes which 8 out of 10 times do not work. If we do not get this we are going to keep inviting pressure on ourselves which in all honesty is a disaster whilst we are working out the kinks and the players are adjusting to the new formation.

I would say 15 mil and i would take it. Reinvest in a good quality central midfielder who can put himself about and link the defence and the forward line a lot better than we currently are.

For what its worth though today i thought we looked a lot better with Heitinga sitting in there, i just do not think he could do it consistently for a season.

Hate to say it but these past few weeks I´ve begun to feel Everton are circling the drain in a major way.

Has nothing to do with Moyes going or with Martinez coming in, it´s just the constant lack of funding. If there isn´t an upturn in the clubs spending power over the next two or three seasons I really can´t see how we´ll be able to compete with other premiership clubs. We might drop out of the division to be honest.

We scouted him Friday at OT so we are looking at CM options!. LCAB seems to think something will happen before the window closes, did say Martinez as targets and we'll wait and see?!.

3 weeks to go yet lads, I hope to god we have a midfielder lined up, even if it is on loan!.
