The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

The City supporters obviously know more about him than us and a lot of them clearly rate him. They have to see why some of us are skeptical though. He's 32 and obviously at the tail end of his career. Signing him (especially if there's a fee agreed) is a gamble.

Oh, god. I'm talking about a one year loan, only.

Buying him would be insane at his age.

I would not mind Barry as long as we don't pay silly wages like Citeh. He can play for another year or two. Looks like we have no money left if we go for him.

Skybet seem to do a lot of these ridiculous price changes... with hardly any of them coming to fruition. Don't see this happening personally, nor would I want it. Gareth Barry is in the Heskey, Neville group of "how did he get so many England caps?".

Winning a league medal etc doesn't mean anything in the present world, he's experienced, decent player but that's it.

Brilliant for Villa but won't be a regular for them anymore. I could list many players who have won something but it doesn't automatically mean they're still good players.

It was only two years ago mate! If anyone thinks he wouldn't be an improvement on Osman then they're probably on smack. And i quite like Osman.

He's being shipped out because European managers, for the most part, don't like English players. For someone's who's achieved so little in the game, Pellegrini gets an inordinate amount of praise, honestly think he could be found out this season.

I'd take Barry in a heart beat tbh.

Neville really wasn't that bad. Towards the end of his time here he looked Conference class but before he had many solid seasons. He also won most of his caps at right back when his main challengers were.... well i can't even remember.

Pellegrini is as good a manager as you'll find in world football.

No problem if it's a loan.

He's 32, we need a younger CM.

His own brother perhaps..
