The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Selling Fellaini for 18M and using all of the money to buy McCarthy simply means he is not good enough to manage a club like Everton. On the other hand keeping Fellaini (and Baines) and loaning someone like Barry along with the rest of the deals this summer makes it an excellent transfer window and gives Martines 9/10

Martinez might not have a choice in the matter. How can you then say he is not good enough to manage us if that decision is completely out of his control? If he does get sold, then we just have to trust him that he will use the money wisely. Lets judge whether he's fit enough to manage us at the end of the season eh?

why is it everyone thinks fellaini will strop and make a fuss about forcing a move? what has he done in his everton career to deserve people to say such things? every year his dad's been mouthing off saying he's going here and there but felli's always kept his head down, enjoyed playing for our club and always given 100%. Yes, he's very nonchalant and relaxed with his playing style, but that doesn't mean he's not trying his hardest, every person is different.

He won't be forced to spend 15M on McCarthy, i said if we sold Fellaini on the cheap and used most of the money to buy McCarthy makes him not good enough

+ the board will not sell Fellaini against Martines' will, we don't need the money, if we didn't sell him and didn't sell anyone, worst case scenario is that there is no money to spend, so it will be Martines' call to sell him or not, the board will want to sell him if a stupid offer came in, something that is very unlikely, on the contrary, it looks like we will receive very low offer for him

Yes HK, every chance you get its the same old line that comes out. We all know he is going to buy Mccarthy/Caldwell/Boyce etc. Its getting a little boring to be honest mate.

You can ignore my post if you don't agree. No one force you to reply.

He already bought three so why not more of them?

This would be simply shocking business.

Another note, I am sick and tired of Man Utd, the way to got Moyes and the way they offered 12M for Baines and now waiting for the clause to expire and make a lower offer, they can do one.

They paid 15M for Wilfried Zaha from the championship, Fellaini might not be “World class” but not far behind

A huge test ahead for Martines, how will he handle the Fellaini situation?

Most probably Moyes will make a low offer (18M) which if we rejected will [Poor language removed] Fellaini who will become unhappy and will force a move, that’s what Moyes thinks anyway, but with the World Cup ahead, Fellaini cannot afford to be unhappy or below average, on the contrary, he should give 200% even if he was forced to stay here against his will.

The clause expired, so if anything, we should look toward 30M, if no one is paying that, fine, let him stay, but even if he stays, we are short in CM, somehow I think Martines wants to sell him in order to use the money to buy CMs, but selling him below the clause will make him appear weak, he is the manager of Everton now, not Wigan, he should stand up against Moyes or Wenger or anyone else, this is a huge test to prove himself if he is up to the job (being a manager is not just about football and tactics, its also about how to handle such things)

so what would you say IF he sold Felli, bought Mcarthy ...and then mcarthy developed into a fantastic player for us and gives us 6 top years.... would you like Martinez then ??

To be fair bud, its difficult to ignore when its every day the same thing is being spouted, and to be fair he actually only bought two from Wigan but hey who's counting.

I just think you could contribute more fella without having to go back to the same old tired **** time and time again.

Now there's a challenge !!!

I don't even come on here everyday so you are bloodly wrong. Like I said, you can praise deadwood like Osman even he had done badly. Isn't that the same old tired all over again?

Axl Witsel transferred for £32 m, Felli has much more to his game, £18 m is an insult, again. I know it was crazy Russian money but if United have a reported £100 m kitty then they need to cough up and stop trying to take the piss.

For a club like us with the finances we have, we simply cannot break our transfer record and spend 15M on a player from the Championship who was signed for 1M four years ago.

I have no problem with signing McCarthy, the problem is with the quoted price, 15M can buy you “Fer” and “Capoue” (with 2M is spare)

McCarthy is worth 6M max (Being British), if we didn't buy him now, no one will with the quoted price and Wigan's chances of winning promotion is slim, playing in the championship and not winning promotion will make his price eventually drop
