The Independent are usually very reliable, trust their info more than the Echo, so this has officially made this seem likely for me. Some big clubs in there like Malaga and Benfica chasing him.

Independent prob only paper I would trust. is a shame there football coverage is so slim. trying to get in touch with my mates mate who is a Wigan fan to see if he is gutted if this lad goes. no reply yet

At least another sexy CB to add to the list.

And im not being moody, im just saying, we have the biggest bunch of complete weapons in the League in charge of our club.

The Premier League is the richest League in the World, TV and sponsorship money overall has gone through the roof and yet our debts increase year on year on and last Season alone we lost 9m.

Im not saying our revenues wont increase, im just saying, compared to other, better ran Clubs, a Club like Everton wont improve as much as others. Again, you seem to think this "30m" will all be spent on players, im saying it will be used to prop up our appalling commerical and debt ridden accounts.

All I want is for you to admit that its very unlikely we will see a MASSIVE increase in playing purchases.

I'd like to see some of these clubs increase revenues with the limited infrastructure and outdated facilties that are GP. And without the financial backing to improve. If it were possible to redevelop GP or move to better facilities our revenue would be right up there with the best, as long as there was a successful team on the pitch.

I doubt that tbh, they are the biggest of baffoons

Yup, all the guys I know who watch Wigan as STH also say he's by far their best defender, just that he's missed alot of games which is the main reason they've gone down.

wouldnt be hard when your rivals are Gary Caldwell, Ronnie Stam + Steven Gohouri

I'm saying that even if the extra revenue is spent on getting our finances in order, that the end result will be that we will have more room to maneuver in the transfer market. Take last year, we sold Rodwell for 12million and bought Mirallas for about 6, with the rest most likely going towards our loss. That won't need to happen again until we increase our expenditure by over 100million pounds over the next three seasons, so all of the Fellaini money can be given to the manager for transfers. I also think we will be able to increase our wage bill through offering higher wages to hopefully better players.

My main point, not necessarily directed at you, is that having our revenue increase by circa 35% represents a big CHANGE for Everton, so I wish people would stop acting as if we only have the buying power of Wigan Athletic. Even in this supposed era of EFC poverty, we have still been buying 15million pound players and offering them 75k a week. I just can't stand the small-time outlook that some of our fans have, mainly because it is an inaccurate outlook that doesn't apply to Everton.
