Not a rumour but i would love Benat at EFC. Think we could get him relatively cheap as well as Betis are screwed financially. A Gibson-Benat midfield combo. BOSS.

I have not seen Benat play, heard very good things and he's boss on Fifa.

Yes thats enough, BENAT IN

I haven't seen anything to indicate his hearts not in it though. difficult to keep saying its all nonsense cos you will sound like a fool if he does go and if he doesn't the media just move onto another lie without any thought. my only worry is the 'no smoke without fire' thing when it could be there isnt even any smoke just some biased journos with a lighter. if nothing is said to suggest he wanted to go by player or club then as much as his heart being in it, I hope fans hearts still with him. I think him, Fer, Gibson..three pronged attack. perfect. no more money needed in

The smoke might just be an agent with vested interest, or his Dad now enjoying Arsenals style ;)
With Fer, Fellaini, and Gibson in cm, when they're well co-ordinated, they'll be ace and take defensive pressure off a forward three.

his dad does sound like trouble, but am hoping an agent would see the sense of him staying in this contract rather than pushing for a slightly better one that may risk a very lucrative one with a couple good years for us and Belgium. don't suppose sense is their main thing though. either way be a shame if the lad wants to stay and he is pressured out. my own feeling is that there is outside chance thst someone at Arsenal testing the water to see if club responds and they get him on the cheap, but still feel most likely a blind guess to keep the money rolling into the betting since the Man U thing died down. can see those three in midfield knowing instinctively when to drop back and when to support the forwards. could be amazing. lets hope... Barkley playing himself into contention too hopefully... switching between forward and midifield

I would go mad if we signed him, he's seriously good, like a Spanish Gibson but better. (y)

In other news... McNulty says Liverpool are close to signing Mignolet

Wake me up when the season starts please!

If Mignolet was that good, he'd be signing for a top club. He looks decent but not a world beater. Is this a step up or step down from Reina?

In my opinion, a step up. Very good 'keeper. Reina is criminally overrated.

I'd love to say otherwise but it's a very good signing for them.

Beñat wouldn't work next to Gibbo, we need someone who can run around all game and win the ball, preferably a Dutch lad who plays for F.C Twente and bought his Missus a horse.

yep, this all over. if we had their cash, i would have liked to have seen us go for mignolet. but there does seem to be plenty of good keepers out there. never rated reina as high as many, he had a goof first couple of years for liverpool, but most better than average keepers have a good few years.

Southampton signing Dejan Lovren and we are getting Alcaraz. I don't even know what to say.

Haha well when you put it like that, it's depressing aint it!. Teams are well and truely taking advantage of this new TV money coming in. Villa have spent well already, Norwich have broke there transfer record signing van Wolfswinkel and now Southampton have signed a good CB in Lovren for between 7-8 million!.

The reason why were not going out and spending them kind of sums on a single player is because we are run by divs and have debts and most of the TV money will go to servicing those debts and covering losses and the most we can hope for to be put towards a transfer kitty is about 8-10 million, IF that i bet?!.

That'll be why were being slow in the market, even though it is still only june!. Weve got to be carefull with what little money we have, until we sell someone like a Fellaini?!.

Heitinga is leaving and Distin won't last long. I am really disappointed a player of such quality has signed for Soton not Everton.

It is disappointing cos Lovren will turn out good, but there's plenty of good CB's out there to be had. I really cant understand why a club like us isnt in for Douglas of FC Twente?!.

will be a free come next month and isnt necessarily bothered about being at a club in Europe or money, just wants to be at a good club where he'll get first team football ahead of next years world cup so he as the chance of going there with Holland!.

Brazilian born Dutch CB who is class, and free. Surely we'd be in with a shout of signing him, and surely he wouldnt want silly wages like 70, 80 or 90k a week?!.
