looks like a serial killer to me

Beñat wouldn't work next to Gibbo, we need someone who can run around all game and win the ball, preferably a Dutch lad who plays for F.C Twente and bought his Missus a horse.

This. As good as Benat is, him and Gibson are very similar in the way they play, although Benat is probably more classier!. Fer would suit Gibbo down to the ground!. Gibson likes to sit and take the ball from the back and make us tick but Fer gets about the pitch and puts a foot in and likes to get in the box aswell so on paper a Gibbo-Fer combo in midfield works IMO.

Spoke to my mate last night, hes a Croat, said he has all the skills required to be a top class CB, but isnt quite right in the head, cant stop getting sent for being a bit mental, seems a risk.

How do you know we're not in for him mate?

Tbh mate, i dont, im just guessing as we dont get linked to him at all. I know the likes of Fulham and Newcastle have been monitoring him, aswell as Russian clubs.

Think Fulham's interest as died down after the signed Amorebieta, another good CB we was linked to, and on a free!.

How do you know that? He makes a lot of mistakes and he will come up against a greater standard of opposition in England.

Seen him play a few times, on ESPN and in Europa league, looks good. And dont forget, he's still young so can iron out those mistakes, especially working under Pochettino who was a good CB in his day!.

Haha well when you put it like that, it's depressing aint it!. Teams are well and truely taking advantage of this new TV money coming in. Villa have spent well already, Norwich have broke there transfer record signing van Wolfswinkel and now Southampton have signed a good CB in Lovren for between 7-8 million!.

The reason why were not going out and spending them kind of sums on a single player is because we are run by divs and have debts and most of the TV money will go to servicing those debts and covering losses and the most we can hope for to be put towards a transfer kitty is about 8-10 million, IF that i bet?!.

That'll be why were being slow in the market, even though it is still only june!. Weve got to be carefull with what little money we have, until we sell someone like a Fellaini?!.

More Prem clubs have more debt than Everton than don't. Our manager doesn't start his job until July 1st. Signings at Citeh and United have not been done by the manager...in fact the managers at those clubs will not have as much say as Martinez will have with regard to signings.Pellegrini is more of a coach, the new man at Man Utd. will at least initially be a puppet. Martinez is the only complete manager of the three. July 1st...it will start to happen, but there will be plenty going on now, behind the scenes.

Give over Steve, it has been and remains unofficial club policy to do most dealings around the transfer deadlines. Not expecting anything significant to happen until late August.

We had the chance to sign him and we pulled out when it was pretty much done, will be interesting to see if Martinez takes the chance.
