Are people seriously telling me they want him over a cheaper and better Mirallas type signing?!

Because if so I might have to give up.

He'd be a decent fringe player and one for the future. I wouldn't pay any more than about £6m for him though. Some of the papers have put him in the £15m (Joe Allen) bracket! No chance.

He wouldn't come as a fringe player though. He'd want to play.

de Guzman is a good player and could play instead of Osman in CM. I still want Fer though (ok he won't come).

We can't dismiss Barkley though. This could be his season.

We can't afford to have a £5/6m squad player/sub so for me McCarthy is a no go.

If Fellaini goes he could play alongside Gibson. I imagine the idea would be to develop him to sell him on to someone like United for a big profit in three years time.

We need some 6 foot 3 CM players if Fellaini leaves.

De Guzman would be just the ticket. I think I'd like to do one of our loan with a view to buy deals with him though. Especially as we really need to focus the Fellaini money on a striker this year and it keeps him eager to impress for a year.

Yeah there's not many like him around. If his first season is anything to go by then he could be as good value as Cahill was, who always seemed to be the benchmark when talking about bargain signings.
