The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

You have written a sentence on Redmond. Have you comply a scouting report on him? No. And you have't replied all my points in all these pages anyway. Stop trying to be doubled standard. I won't call someone talking nonsense. I am trying to be polite all along.

I think this argument should be over, it will never end. I think that 3 are good players maybe you don't. Verdict: different opinion. Sorted.

I only asked how much you have watched them, you can form an opinion on a player who has played just once, I'm just saying by the way you've continually dodged the question I dont think you have seen much if anything of the 3 players you want us to buy.

With regards Redmond, no I havent watched him loads, I have watched about 4 games and he seems a prospect, pacy, tricky. Would I buy him, at 3m it looks a decent deal but I dont know how good he will be until he steps up to the prem.

Would he automatically go into the first team ahead of either Mirallas or Pienaar? No. Therefore, a meaningless signing. We need players will go straight into the starting XI.
not necessarily, we need to bulken up the squad. Would you say Oviedo and Stones are meaningless signings then?

Yes mate.

All I wanted was a reason or a few why you didnt like him. Makes your opinion more valid and I might learn something I didnt know.

See the other chaps post above.

The bloke above said he thought he was pretty pants though & you've been saying you really rate him based on when you've watched him, so how can me saying anything about the lad make you change the opinion that you've formed with your own peepers?

Maybe it's just that we have a differing opinion, as our individual subjective view on the lad isn't the same eh....

I've seen Nathan Redmond play twice. On both occasions he was fast and he played on the wing.

He did OK each time. Nothing brilliant, but that's why he's playing for Birmingham and won't cost as much as an established international winger who is 5 years older than him. I wouldn't be adverse to Everton signing him as he is quick. You can't teach quick.

Well obviously. But the other guy wrote actual reasons and used examples why he didnt like him.

Tell you what. You don't seem to like me much so I'll just pop you on ignore and it will all be ok.

I actually watched them more than 4 times mainly due to the Euopea League. We can watch all the matches live here. As to Bony, I watched him for about five or six times when we were linked with him back in January. He has so much strength whenever I watched him, he scored. I admit I am not that interest in them before our club are linked with them.

Stones signed because he's very young and back-up only to Coleman. Oviedo, we have no other LB's and back-up only to Baines. If we're going to sign a winger, I want him to be of the quality, if not better than Mirallas/Pienaar so we could move Mirallas behind the striker.

Why? Can you expand on this please?

Sure. At the minute we risk being left behind by the teams around and above us. I am of the belief that Redmond isn't good enough for the first 11, he is well short of playing for a top 6 club with ambitions of Europe, well, well short. Whether he'll get there eventually, who knows. We need to be looking at players who will give us an immediate impact like your Fer's, your Chadli's etc.

Ok mate, I just wasnt convinced you had, I'll take your word for it.

Still dont get why we cant look in lower leagues for players but we'll agree to disagree.

Thanks. I agree with that, but also consider that it's equally important to build squad strength.
Incidentally, if Felliani stays and Martinez still purchased Fer, then would you envisage Fer starting over Gibson in the centre of midfield? I'd personally see him as a squad player in that circumstance.
