Ill go with the Levy is a tool statement, however Parker is far from faded.

If anything, he has got better with age - proven by his recent international recognition in comparison to the years previous!

Ive just googled defensive midfielders in the PL (cus im sad and bored at work) and there are some decent options:

Schneiderlin
McCarthy
Yacob
Diame
Sandro
Coquelin
Darren Fletcher

Any of these worth a punt?

Further, does anyone agree that we need a holding midfielder?

I'd take Fletcher if he was healthy which doesn't look like he will ever be again

Schneiderlin's decent but not sure if he's Everton quality.

McCarthy I'd have. Maybe not first team (at least yet).

Yacob is just a snide who goes round kicking people because he can't play football.

Diame is an athlete but I'm not sure on him technically. Take him if his release clause is true, though.

Spurs fans reckon Sandro was their best player apart from Bale last season and he starts every week so I doubt he'd come to us and we haven't got the money anyway.

Coquelin looks alright but he's hardly played.

Fletcher's massively under rated. Not exactly quality but does a job and does it very well. No way United would let him go, plus it'd be too risky with his illness.

I quite like Coquelin tbh I think he'd do quite well in the middle. Depends entirely on how much Arsenal would want for him though..

People with UC usually need to amputate parts of their colons which means fluid absorption is restricted. Can´t be a pro footballer if you´re constantly at risk of dehydration.

Ecuele Manga's agent: "Manga is interested in Everton but other English clubs are also interested."

I know it's twitter so probs bollox but apparently were going to go into discussion with Lorient on Monday

Re Ecuele Manga: Both player and agent have now stressed Everton interest so a move is possible. Still very early stages though. #EFC

I tell you what, with Spurs on the brink of signing Paulinho, their midfield is well over-crowded. I'd stick a cheeky bid in for Sigurdsson. Think he is a class act who had limited playing time last year, with even less this year if AVB is going to play this 4-3-3 formation that Spurs fans reckon.

Id rather forget about anyone at spurs, let them juggle all the players and create a bit of discord at the team imo, plus Levy is a **** to negotiate with and always demands the maximum and then some for players

Agreed let someone else pay top dollar. Granted Sigurdsson is class but I would rather go for someone who is quicker and cheaper. Namely, Nacer Chadli.

Good shout!. Would be ideal in the AMC position for us!. If and when they sign Paulinho, they'll have a brilliant midfield 3 of him, Sandro & Dembele. They just need another left winger or midfielder that can play there to compliment Bale down the right, and a top striker!.

Imagine if they signed that Bernard for left and Damiao to play upfront?! there first X1 would look like this!. Lloris - Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto - Paulinho, Sandro, Dembele - Bale, Damiao, Bernard. Must admit, that would be some side.
