The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

How any forward coming in can 'underwhelm' any Evertonian when we have Jelavic and Vic as our two strikers is staggering.

"Go away strikers who score in the PL...we want Huntelaar or <inserts out of reach Euro-league glamour name>"

Haha bang on.

I thought of this last night:

Out
£3m Johnny Heitinga
£24m Marouane Fellaini
£27m TOTAL

In
£4m Bruno Ecuele Manga
£5m Aiden McGeady
£5m Keisuke Honda
£8m Leroy Fer
£12m Wilfried Bony
£36m TOTAL

Won't happen obviously, but man I would jizz all over the place.

Thoughts on Victor Wanyama?

Surely could do a job here..

Apologies if been mentioned before....just turned down Southampton apparently.

He plays for Celtic in the SPL, which is bad...

But he isn't Scottish or Irish, so he must be awesome.

Sign him up.

So true. Kone scores goals in a bad team that got relegated and if Roberto wants him (after he played for him) he must be a good lad as well.

Literally the only negatives are that he's getting on a bit and won't have a sell on value and he has stupid hair.

When somebody comes up with a suggestion about some little known exotic named foreign player it should be mandatory that they give information about how many times they have seen them play and against who.

There is a reason why 99% of them will never play in this league...they are not good enough.
Even full time scouts and professional managers get it wrong an awful lot of the time.Sometims even the high priced "sure things" don't work out.
People on this forum seem to pick names at random with no apparent regard for the league or the team that these players are coming from.

Simple rule...the overwhelming majority are not good enough for the premiership.

Would be great, but it's not as straight forward as that I'm afraid. Agents fees, signing on fees and extra wages would take it well over £40m. However, I could live without McGeady...

Ha Ha Ha. Spot on that. This place would grind to a halt in ten minutes though!!

Apart from his disappointing return at Sevilla, there is no reason I can think of why Kone would not potentially be a decent signing at the right price.

The price does need to be right though because of his age.

Kevin Campbell excelled in Moyes first full season and he was no spring chicken.

The fact that he plays for Wigan should not be a deciding factor in signing him or not. His goal return is 1 in 3 and not to be sniffed at.

Does this take into account the following:
* He's boss on FIFA
or
* somebody bought him on for Footy Manager for £50k and he went on to to score a gazillion goals and then sold him on for £800m.

IF he signs his first season will be his best one ...will he get more than 10 gaols in this league? I wonder.

Kone would be a good signing for us, and I´d be happy if Martinez went for him. Obviously I´d rather have a 22 year old Argentinian who´d been banging them in in Spain but that kind of signing never comes off for us.

10 goals in the prem isn´t bad these days and he´d be getting better service here (if Baines stays).
