We may still get a minor net spend - even with Fellaini's sale. But there's no way after reading what RE had to say about 'infrastructure' tonight we'll be seeing any of that new tv revenue on the pitch. He confirmed for me my own suspicions on that.

There'll be no step change from what we've seen before, essentially.

Dave, the actual quote is that they want it to go on the 'infrastructure' of the club with squad recruitment being their first consideration. Why are you ignoring the second part of the statement?

If their answer was a warning that investment in the squad is going to be extremely limited, then why did they feel the need to state that squad recruitment is their first consideration? It's fair enough to hold your opinion, but I don't see how tonight's comments substantiate it at all.

We've got money to spend without sale by all accounts. Say we can get a few squadies in of decent quality like Alcaraz, Kone, maybe even Redmond with that money and we'll still have Heitinga and Fellaini's sales to then get in the REAL quality. Your Fer's, Honda's, Bony's etc.
Im not saying thats whats gonna happen, im saying thats what im hoping haha!

big rumours that we are close to sealing a deal to sign alfonso ribeiro from argentinan club belairno.

Probably Alcaraz and McGeady. On THT's blog posted today he talks about both then says:

Other players linked have been the likes of Leroy Fer (who the club maintain an interest in) Keisuki Honda, Wilfried Bony, Callum McManaman, James McCarthy and Arouna Kone. All of these would improve the squad and side but none are as far along as the two players mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Suggests we have done more than just inquired
