Why would they loan him out? Not like he can't get a game.

under Pulis id have to agree, however Hughes might have taken one look at him and gone no thanks.

Which again doesn't make alot of sense as he's tall, so a hughes type of player.

Yes, but hold on though, N'Zonzi was also a Moyes target last summer, so that's ok then. He had the ginger Judas' seal of approval.

Davek, if people are not too pleased at some of the players Martinez brings in during the summer, I don't think it necessarily constitutes that they're up Moyesey's ar$e.

I'm pretty sure the way it is supposed to work is you sign a player better than your first 11 player, he then becomes a squad player....Not sign average squad players to bulk numbers!!

Not for a club hoping to challange for Europe anyway!

May 24th
Stoke have rejected a written transfer request from midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

The 24-year-old Frenchman, who was recently voted the club's young player of the year, has told the Potters he wishes to leave less than a year after his £3m move from Blackburn.

Peter Coates, the Stoke chairman, said: "I can confirm that we have received a written transfer request from Steven Nzonzi.

"He is our player and has three years remaining on his contract."

The former France Under-21 international was frozen out by then Rovers manager Steve Kean before completing his move to Stoke on the final day of last summer's transfer window.

He made 38 appearances for the Potters this season and scored his first goal in the home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

At first i was thinking I didn't want Kone but after some of Jelavics performances last season, I'm not so against the idea. At the end of the day though, I don't see the point.

I'd be fine with Alcaraz as back up so long as he was behind Duffy in the queue. If Heitinga splits, we'd only have 3 CB's so it would be a reasonable purchase. I can't see Lescott coming back to be honest
