My word, Di Santo!!!!!

Lets just get the whole Wigan team in, and Bramble back into the mix as well.

Alcaraz and Di Santo, some people need to take a cold shower and take a long look at themselves in the mirror.

Hahaha yeeah and Paul Jewel in the backroom staff.

Nah but seriously guys Martinez said himself that there are infinitly better options to buy in world football as opposed to just raiding the Wigan squad.

Considering Fellaini is such a physical strapping monster why has he never scored from one of the hundreds of corners we had last season?

I agree with the comments about him being excellent first half of last season but not so good second half.

If Martinez already has a ten million budget then adding another 24m from Fellaini's sale would really allow him to put his stamp on the team.

Thirty million would buy five very good players and imo almost certainly push us into a top five finish.

Fellaini did score from a corner, first game of the season v Man U?

He didn't score more often from corners because the opposition CB generally was trying to put him in a headlock or a half Nelson, or pull the shirt off his back. Shawcross was exposed doing it, but the truth every opposition CB did it to him every single corner or free kick of every single game. I am not suggesting for one second here that he was the only player in the league to have to cope with that, but he probably had to put it with it more than most. Surprised he didn't chin a few more CBs to be honest.

dare I say Fellaini was great pre christmas but after the Stoke game I thought he dipped,24 million seems a good price to me,could get three good players for that.
Agreed. Bottom line is he's overrated. Sell-on clauses and release clauses set in the low £20s (of millions), if true, are disappointing because I think we could have gotten upper £20s and obviously, who wants to pay Liege 20%? But regardless Id still feel he'd be overpriced if the final amount of cash Martinez saw was in the £16-18 million range, but that's just me.

Would much prefer us to try and sign Dedryck Boyata, still really young and has shown some good signs over the years, you would think Coty would be happy to move him on so we could be able to get him for a good price.

Boyata would be a good option as centre back & cover for right back.

Guiedetti is another at City who has potential and could be available

Please, no.

He has been praised and every time he didn't deliver. There are much better (Belgians) to buy.
