The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

I wonder which will be announced first... the new coaching staff joining or Baines leaving?

Think Kone would make the difference for us hes a player i like his primary goal scoring is good and he has the talent to score 10 -15 goals a season, his secondry play is very good in terms of assists and role in creating things, he offers us a different edge in terms of pace and ability to dribble, beat a man and carry the ball rather then holding it up. Its his second season in the PL and should be more in tune with its demands and a bit more savy while its a styrong possibility playing in a team with arguably better quality players could improve his bottom line scoring ratio.

Agree with that

I got told Kone was signing last week, i'm not fussed on him. Think he will do a job.

On going issues about the payment Is what I have been told, Wigan want it up front and we want to stagger over a few years. Might be offering a player and cash now.

Take it with a pinch of salt, my mate knows someone at Wigan Football club. Is Sheedy about these days, he might know something as well.

From what i can remember; Sheeds has said he has been told Alcaraz is 'all but done' and that we are sorting out a payment structure for Kone.

Looks like there will be some exciting movement in the next couple of weeks.

Regardless of whether Baines, Fellaini or Heitinga leave, looks like Alcaraz and Kone will be coming in which is a pretty decent swap for the players that have already left (Neville and Hitz).

Seems like the real fun will start once a couple of the above names are gone though.

Seems none of us are arsed about Heitinga going, and most would prefer to lose Fellaini than Baines, as 1. We have Ross Barkley who might be able to replace him anyway and 2. He will command a bigger fee to hopefully be given back to the manager to spend on a couple of quality first XI players.

A lot depends on how close our under 21 players are to the first team...if indeed they will ever be good enough.
Duffy,McAleny,Junior,Lundstram,Garbutt,Long,Hope,Browning,Stones.
Barkley is probably considered a first team player already, but if the manger feels that some of the players mentioned above could become premiership footballers it will affect his transfer dealings greatly.
It might mean that he could go for fewer signings ,but signings of a higher quality.I think we may see quite a bit of these youngsters in pre season and I wouldn't be surprised if our transfer activity(if any) could be later in the window after these players have been assessed.

Imagine if it's Barkley!!

Imagine it!!!

Coaching staff obviously, within the next day or so I'd imagine.

It's by no means certain that Baines will leave.

Not certain, but highly likely IMO. Chance of a world cup starting spot next year which would be more likely by being at Man U. Will he get another chance??

I know its spoiling peoples' fun but I don't think its a good idea to sell any key players when we were stretched like mad when any of them were out, we have sold from the fringes in the past to top up transfers. As well as this it really isn't going to add up the way its being suggested. Martinez won't be playing a game that has 24 mill going out... 24 mill going in. these things are mapped out over as long a period as possible and the main consideration will be the wage bill. that's what could screw you a few years down the line. so hopefully a few players being paid more than they are worth can go and players with potential can replace them on lower wages, maybe leaving enough for one or two relative marquee signings. Remember Neville and Heitinga are not far off the value of Baines and Fellaini in terms of what we are forking out on an ongoing basis. replace Fellaini and Baines with three or four signings on similar wages and they don't fit and you could be stuck with them for five years
