I think if his head is straight hes a good player, absolute snide though, just threw it into the ring as a possibility really as Martinez bid for him at Wigan albeit a couple of years ago.

I said we have 10M and that will be blown on the 2 or 3 names already mentioned, we were still fighting to put together payments for kone .....5 fuk million....and we are crapping ourselves that we can't get the dough together to meet Wigan's payment requirements.

FK me what are you going to be like when we start selling our key players soon.

What's wrong with Honda and Redmond? At least we hadn't announced their arrival before they signed elsewhere...

If you add the savings in wages from Neville,Moyes,Hitzlesperger , Mucha and probably Heitinga there will be more than 10m in savings alone .

I wouldn't be too ceratin of that pal.

Moyes was on £3m a year : £60k a week (approx)
Neville: £60k a week

Guessing Mucha and Hitz were both on about £30k a week (£1.5m a year each)

Heitinga hasn't gone yet. No-one has shown any interest.

And we've brought in Martinez on somewhere between £2m and £3m a year (£40k to £60k a week), paying Wigan £2m for the pleasure.

So we've cut the wage bill by at most £9m per year.... but we have since spent £2m cash on the compo for Martinez, AND signed him up to a wage: call it £2.5m for the year, for the sake of maths.

So we've saved £4.5m. That's wages amounting to £90k a week for incoming players.
