Interesting article on James McCarthy http://worldsoccertalk.com/2013/06/...n-ideal-signing-for-arsenal-spurs-or-everton/
You could get 24 million for Fellaini, get this lad for 10 maximum and still have over 10 million left for a top striker.
In today's market I'm not sure it is. Fellaini isn't worth 24 either but we'll get it. In time I think 10 million for McCarthy will look good business.£10m is still too much for McCarthy.

Selling Fellaini and bringing in McCarthy and for example Wilfied Bony with that money is a no brainer and would improve the team.
All about opinions but I'd much rather McCarthy for 10 million than De Guzman for 5-7.

If we get McCarthy, what happens to Barkley?
You wouldn't pick up Strootman for 12 million.I'd agree. Much to learn and improve on. But that is what you have to pay for British players these days.
When u consider, Fer now in his last year will prob be 5/6M, de Guzman simlar, strootman about 12M, Honda about 5/6M....
There's just no value in signing him.
West Ham haven't got a prayer of signing him. You're seriously undervaluing him he's a good player.I don't want James McCarthy anywhere near an Everton team.
We are not West Ham.
