You could get 24 million for Fellaini, get this lad for 10 maximum and still have over 10 million left for a top striker.

I really like McCarthy think he can go on and be one of the top centre midfield players in the country in a few years, problem i have is will him and Gibson compliment each other as a midfield two ?

If RM wants to play the 433 then we can find a number ten (Pienaar) to play ahead of them and that fits for me.

In today's market I'm not sure it is. Fellaini isn't worth 24 either but we'll get it. In time I think 10 million for McCarthy will look good business.

Selling Fellaini and bringing in McCarthy and for example Wilfied Bony with that money is a no brainer and would improve the team.

The other way round for me. I rather have De Guzman for £5-7m. Cheaper and for me a better player and last season stats have shown it.

Stats can be a dangerous thing.

Ive not seen too much of De Guzman so couldnt really say if id like us to get him or not but McCarthy is a big yes for me.

I'd agree. Much to learn and improve on. But that is what you have to pay for British players these days.

There's just no value in signing him.

Play different roles really. Barkley more attacking, McCarthy more of a deeper role.

No he isn't.

You are badly over rating him. He goes missing ALL the time. Sloppy passes. And gets caught out if position so so often.

I wish people would actually watch him

And if you think we couldn't get better for cheaper then you know nothing about football.

He better then Osman and fitter then Gibson, would be an upgrade on those two
